21-disc set (one disc for each) of all specials up to this year's. Specials 13-21 are in 1080i, and are most likely SD upconverts.

I'll be waiting for individual releases, assuming the cel-animated specials don't use grain-frozen masters like the TV series.

These are so tempting !! but with that price and no sub i'll most likely pass on the release (I would pay that price if they had sub). Sadly, Funi pulled the plug on Lupin III so it's unlikely that we'll see more of the specials released from them. But perhaps DISCOTEK/Eastern Star can ?

they really want to get all the Lupin they can out,sucks that there is no english subs but oh well at $900+ USD I can't afford it anyway.Hope they manage to sell atleast 1,000 copies

"Grain-frozen...?"

The Lupin TV series Blu-rays (and HD broadcasts a couple years ago) had this extremely annoying DNR where the grain would be frozen in places when there was no cel movement on the screen. It really looked bad when the grain would suddenly stop and start around wherever the characters moved, yet remain frozen in the background. It was so disoreienting I had to take my glasses off. But with my glasses off I can't tell the difference between HD and SD, so there was no point in buying any other volumes (only got Vol 1 of the 1st TV series).

A pity, since otherwise they looked pretty good. I imagine the 2nd series looks worse though, since it was done on 16mm while the 1st series was 35mm.
