Via Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/29/the-last-story-is-new-mistwalker-rpg/).
Nintendo Japan just put up teaser sites for Xenoblade (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/sx4j/index.html), the new game by Monolith Soft (and, hopefully, next entry in the patchwork Xeno-universe); The Last Story (http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/slsj/index.html), a new RPG from Blue Dragon dev Mistwalker; and Metroid: Other M (http://metroid.jp/), which presumably needs no introduction.
The Joystiq article also linked to Andriasang's trio (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/01/29/xenoblade_official_site/) of (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/01/29/mistwalker_nintendo_last_story/) articles (http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2010/01/29/metroid_other_m_site/) on the three new sites.
Frankly, Xenoblade marks the first time I've gotten excited about a Wii game since Metroid Prime 3. I might actually have to dust mine off and plug it in sometime in the not-too-distant future.
Thoughts?

I was under the impression that Monolithsoft was already busy with Monado: Beginning of the World for Wii. Are they big enough to handle two projects at once? They certainly weren't while they were making Disaster: Day of Crisis. I'll keep an eye on Xenoblade, though.
I'm looking forward to hearing more on The Last Story, though my interest is tempered by the extremely poor reception both Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey got on the 360.
I'm wary of Metroid: Other M. I don't like any of the modern Ninja Gaiden games, and I have a feeling Nintendo's anti-story development stance is going to interfere with Team Ninja fleshing out the Metroid Universe and backstory as much as they promised in that E3 trailer. I've also never been all that fond of 2D Metroid, as I have disdain for their style of uncovering items (aka "shoot every block in every room"). Still, I'm looking forward to hearing more about it.
And, incidentally, the Wii has had good games for 3 years now. They're just infrequent and up till now haven't included RPGs (Tales of Symphonia 2 was just...ugh...).

Ah, so Monado was just an alias. I honestly hope they don't try to make the game "fit in" to the already loose universe, and just make it fun and interesting.

Sorry for not being more clear: Xenoblade and Monado are one and the same. The project underwent a name change at some point.

I thought that sword on the Xenoblade teaser website looked familiar. ^_^ Defnitely a name upgrade, though from the looks of that E3 trailer last year I think it would be pretty hard for this to tie into Xenosaga.
Not going to lie, Xenoblade actually excited me enough to make me ponder buying a Wii. I'll wait for more details, but 3 of the 4 Xeno games were absolutely amazing. Definitely looking forward to the soundtrack, assuming the track is indicative of the overall quality.

That's last year's E3 trailer for the game.

Hmm, looks eerily similar to the FFXII battle system. :P
