That was hard. The first vote was easy. It was my own character.

The second vote was also easy.

The third vote was between Nagi, Nodoka, Rin, Setsuna, or Ritsu... I quickly ruled out Nagi, Nodoka, and Rin for various reasons, but I just couldn't decide between Setsuna and Ritsu.

This round was a little harder to pick as there were several characters I like. Rin was an easy first choice. Forte was a pretty easy second choice. Nuku Nuku ended up getting my third vote.

Slightly tough round. I wound up voting for Spike Spiegel (he kicks butt), Rin Tohsaka (tsundere and all-around awesomeness for the win), and finally, for Setsuna Sakurazaki (she's like "ZOMG awesome!" and a great character). I had to leave out Kallen (she's hot, but I like the other characters more), Haramura Nonoka (she's great, and has killer boobs, but she's not quite at the level of awesomeness of the other characters I voted for), and Katagiri Himeko (the power of "maho" is awesome, leaving her out was a tough choice :cry:).

A relatively easy Top 5 to create, although Haramura Nodoka at #6 was hard to kick out.

Two of these were complete locks - Miku and Nagi. Totally super obviously the winners as soon as I saw the list. I know I'm probably "supposed to" only consider Miku's 3 second SZS "role" when voting, but frankly, there's no way in hell I can or will. Miku, Miku of the whole Mikuverse that is, is hands down one of my favorite characters ever. I'm talking top 10 here. Maybe top 5. Like, up there with Nagisa, Haruhi, Nia, Dhianeila, Alice, Tomoyo (CCS) and similar. And Nagi... I just absolutely adore Nagi like nobody's business.

But that last vote was really hard, as usual. Suou completely blew me away in DtB2, while Ritsu is one of the fantastic K-ON! girls, and Yumi is way too lovable. In the end, quantity won out and the fact that I've had so many more episodes to get to know Yumi gave her a very slight edge over Suou and Ritsu.

Well you say that, but I see it as you're voting for the character, not what you thought of the character from the anime listed. Feel free to vote for her due to the fact you love her, I like her too mainly for the rest of the Mikuverse, I just used SZS as an excuse to draft her. ;)

Another vote for Yumi here, alongside the worlds greatest detective. Last vote was mega tough, and after discounting Karin, Suou, Secchan, Ritchan. Nodoka and Spike, finally ended up between Rin and Layla. Surprisingly however, it wasn't the KS character, and went with Miss Zettai herself Rin (the manga definitely helped though, Rin is doubly awesome there).

The other two votes were a little tough but eventually I went with the bloodgiver Karin, and after watching Fate/stay night last week I completely fell in love with Rin Tohsaka so she emphatically won my third vote.

The antagonist who does everything to ruin Momo's life. Her fair features (pale skin, dark hair) serve as a contrast for Momo; her "innocent" appearance belies her scheming, manipulative nature. She is the one who spreads malicious gossip about her; something Momo knows, but has trouble dealing with, as people are more apt to believe in Sae than the 'airheaded ganguro girl' to the point that Toji believed Sae over Momo (who was currently his girlfriend). She often uses the gossip to make people dislike Momo, as a result of her own jealousy and insecurity. She spreads rumors that she is dating Toji, and that Momo is trying to steal him fro her when it is actually the other way around. She really is mean and doesn't care for Momo and isn't her "real" friend. All she wants is popularity in school, to humiliate Momo, and to get Toji all for herself. She will stop at nothing to complete this task. Later, she dates a male model named Jigoro and in the end exploits him to help break up Toji and Momo, the nastiest scheme she has ever plotted. She begins to repent after she falls in love with Ryo and understands the hurtful feeling that she caused Momo, when Ryo seemingly gets her pregnant (it later turns out to be a medical condition that simulates pregnancy) and subsequently abandons her.

I won't deny others the right to use that logic, but it's kind of tricky for me. I mean sure it's fine if the worst thing about the anime version might be a lack of screen time and/or development. Some of my favorite characters aren't exactly developed that well.

However I just know I'm eventually going to find a scenario where I simply can't stand the anime version at all, but another version is the awesome. At which point, I'll simply feel like I'm figuratively lying if I vote for the character.

That being said, even if I were to base the decision on how vote worthy Hatsune Miku using the same reasoning as both you and something, I need to decide if I've ever experienced her enough to even make a decision. I've mostly just seen select videos that people have linked to and looked at pictures.

In any case, I do know I plan to vote for both Ritsu and Yumi. The third person remains undecided right now. Multiple characters I like, but those Ritsu and Yumi are the only instant decisions.

I don't really read manga so that's out, though I have both versions of the anime which, maybe, possibly, I will perhaps someday watch. Potentially. But one is supposed to be bad and the other not anything like the manga, so, yeah...

Well, in my case, the first brother has been collecting the manga. So if I were actually interested enough, I'd just see about reading what he has. Granted the problem is I've never been interested enough to read Negima.

One easy choice for me this round - Nuku Nuku. It's one of the shows that got me into anime and is still a favorite (the OVA - the TV series [yes, I know Dash is kinda an OVA, whatever] are sorta meh in some ways).

The rest of the characters were hard to pick from, as there were a lot of characters I kinda liked but none that simply had to get my vote. I ended up going for Yukari-sensei (some priceless gags can be attributed to her) and Karin Maaka. Karin largely because I liked her and I don't think that show was very popular, so I'm not sure how many votes she'll get.

Ritsu, I chose her because she's my drafted character and because she's one of my favorite anime girls ever. If I had to choose a single reason why I love K-ON! so much, it would be because of her.

Yumi, she has the power of her faces. She's also a strong and wonderful girl. Plus, I have to be honest. Without her in the series, Marimite would be a lot harder to watch. She gives the series just what it needs to truly work.

Komoe, she's a pink haired loli that's cute, amusing, attractive, and needs more screen time. After giving it some thought I figured I'd just go ahead and vote for her.

Yeah, I decided to stop giving it more thought and just make a vote before it was too later. Sure, there's still time, but I have to keep in mind that waiting till the last minute is never a good idea.

I have no idea how expected or unexpected my third vote is.

First off, thank you Draenor and Zeether for voting for Cecily. I was hoping that she would get a few more votes, but I feel that if she gets drafted next year she might get more than three votes, cause by that time FUNimation will have the series available for the buying public (barring delays, of course).

Secondly I finished updating the Draft Scoreboard (http://www.mania.com/aodvb/blog.php?b=2770). Buster Blader 126 and Proximity switched places from the last voting round - BB126 is now leading with 87.5 points and 1 win, while Team Proximity is currently second with 86.5 points and 2 wins. Westlo remains in third with 81 points. The biggest mover was Victor's team The Sultans of Suzumiya. Thanks to Karin Maaka's grand slam performance, he jumped 7 spots from #16 to #9 (56.5 points). The biggest droppers were both Fudce (Team Twintail) and bluesilo (Team bluesilo). They both dropped 5 spots to #13 and #14 respectively. The bottom 5 stayed the same.

Thanks to those who voted for Yumi and her many, cute funny faces and great personality. :) I'm not disappointed with Yukari being the winner this round, though - she was a great part of what made Azumanga Daioh and a contender for my third vote (Nodoka, who ended up getting my vote, looks like she really needed it, though. Yikes. :( ). And Ritsu needs more love than that.

Now you know how I felt 3 years ago when something and I were the only ones that voted for my character Aoba in the 2007 Anime Draft :sweat:.

I feel fine. I'm having fun, sure only two people voted for my character but it's not like I'm about to go suicidal because of it. If I was playing to win sure, I'd be disapointed but I'm not. I play to make a group of twelve characters with twintails that I like.

What can I say - seeing that happen would've been nice, though there were a lot of strong characters in this round (which round doesn't?).

Oh they'll all regret it... when Miku becomes World Dictator after the VocaRevolution, she'll know who the chosen ones are! Oh yes she will know. And her wrath brought down upon the heretics will be terrible.

Darn it, voting was already tough enough. Now I have to worry about the possibility that one of the 18 people that I pass(ed) on voting for will seek revenge and punish.

Also, wait if not voting for Miku means that one doesn't love her, then what about the ones you guys passed on? In any case, I look at it this way. If I hadn't voted for Komoe then she'd have been lonely with just one vote.
