I'm happy that Bandai is making their presence known, but between this and last week's official manga site launch, I'm probably not the only person who's feeling like they'd be more interested if they were putting out announcements and press releases about their DVDs too.
I mean, I know and everyone knows they're running a business, and obviously putting effort into their products in order to stay in business, even if it doesn't seem like it sometimes with all the re-releases and delays and various other issues, but Haruhi aside, where's the anime love? This license (and official announcement) implies that Code Geass is performing decently for them, but why not take a few extra minutes to send out even a cursory press blip about the imminent release of the final DVD volume?
Kind of off-topic, I suppose. I'm very interested in these two anthologies, since they hold the promise of something interesting and different, rather than the utterly forgettable manga adaptation of the anime and the lackluster Suzaku of the Counterattack manga. At least Nightmare of Nunnally was entertaining. I'm not sure what it means that the most interesting print counterpart to the Code Geass anime for me has, thus far, been the novel adaptation. There are other things I'd rather see Bandai spend their time and money on these days, but in the absence of such, I'm looking forward to Knights and Queens.

Not going to bother clicking the link. Nice for Bandai, but it means nothing to me (except perhaps that it gets them more income to keep releasing anime/manga). I gave up watching the first TV series at either the penultimate episode, or the one before that. I just lost interest... Maybe it was the dub? Probably not.

I just about had a heart attack thinking that more Code Geass anime had been announced in Japan and the U.S. (or the picture dramas ... ah, I can still hope). Listings for Knights and Queens have been floating around on amazon for a while, but it is good to hear confirmation for these manga since I'm definitely interested in taking a look (at Knights especially ^^).

I bet you were trying to take it seriously. That's a problem a lot of people have. (including people who really liked the show, mostly the ones who thought the second season was awful)

It's possible, but I don't think that that was the problem. It might have been boredom. It's been so long since I watched the dubbed episodes that I don't recall why I dislike it anymore.

This isn't really a new product at all but yeah, I'm imagining BE expects to make at least some money off this or else they wouldn't bother with announcing the license. It's not my cup of tea though. I'd rather hear something more about the new project that's still in the works.

To this day, I never thought it was that hard to take some parts seriously and others not at all, but then again...never mind.
