FUNimation has waited a few days since the original announcement and has put out a new statement to Anime News Network regarding the controversial edits made to Dance in the Vampire Bund:

Well, thats good. Atleast they're considering releasing it uncut on DVD/BD

Nice. Let's just hope they can pull it off and have the series stay uncut when it hits dvd and Blu-ray. Of course it would of been nicer to just put it unedited like their other series to begin with but oh well having it uncut would be great and I hope it happens because I was already unsure about the series as it is but would purchase it but censoring is just a no-no.

Well, whether or not streaming needs to be edited more than home video is debateable, but at least an uncut version is being considered. I really hope FUNimation finds a pair and realizes this show doesn't violate U.S. Law and shows with similarly young-looking characters showing skin have been released before without edits.
