A third season of chibi, jokes, and yuri is apon us. The may even be references to Romance of the Three Kingdoms. In any case, the first episode has aired. Not that I've watched it yet. Still it's a good time to start the thread for this.

It's Koihime Musou. There WILL be yuri, but it wont be full on hentai yuri, so go elsewhere if that is all you want.

Yes. This show is amazing. Sometimes it's hard deciding whether this or Ikkitousen is better.

Then shouldn't you know exactly what to expect in terms of content? It's not suddenly going to become porno. :sd: The DVD versions have nipples, but the TV broadcast isn't going to.

And Sousou scenes are as close as we're going to get to sex. Her happy fun time (sadly interrupted prematurely) with Kanu is probably as far as this show will ever push that.

I've just got through watching the promo/preview episode one of this - the girls are back, and it's classic Koihime Musou fun...

The Basic premise of the episode looks to be a mix of Touka feeling that she needs to loose some of her extra flab (she looks fine to me) and then her getting ill due to eating some of Sei's stashed away food. Everybody else thinks she's pregnant (and it looks like Shuri thinks that Sui is the father) and hilarity ensues.

It looks like we'll be taking a trip to the Nanman tribe and the Sun clan in this series, I hope we still get our fill of Karin - or at least, Karin gets her fill of Aisha. :)

The ending theme... I find myself humming it already - it's really catchy and the little chibi dance is super adorable!

Watching this back-to-back with Ikkitousen is gonna be a blast :)

The gang is back and from the opening looks like there'll be even more new characters! A sign of how much more respectable the show is becoming? The OP is sung by Okui Masami!

Looks like the show continues from the end of Shin Koihime Musou. Poor Sei is still missing :P

The ED is cutesy again and is kinda jarring compared to the super-serious OP. And the preview, heh, Sei is still the best!

Opening is SERIOUS BUSINESS. Okui Masami FTW!

Thankfully, the show is not serious business. Episode was hilarious on every level, and yay! Bachou's not going to get left out this time! And it looks like Batai will be joining the fun as well.

For those of you more versed in Rot3K, is Chojo (or whatever, I don't trust these <redacted> very much on names...) supposed to be someone in particular? And for the life of me I forget who Kasshin is.

Oh yeah, and the ED is by far the best yet.

Edit: oh god its sung by Kan'u, Sousou and Sonsaku. Though really shouldn't it be Ryuubi and not Kan'u?

Edit^2: Also, is it me, or does the show look much better animated now? And I think the fight choreography has improved, though I'm not holding my breath there.

Shuri's thought process in regards to Sui and Touka was awesome.

Sei has returned! How many episodes before she vanishes again?

So they've essentially split into multiple groups. It will be interesting to see how they handle the focus this time around. No sense having the split if one group gets any focus.

Chibi Ending is awesome. Let's see which new characters will actually appear during the series.

Well, that was an unusually serious way to start a Koihime Musou series. Though it turns out Kasshin (who I am apparently supposed to know, probably from some point in the first season, but I can't remember at all) is just turning into a cat.

The misunderstandings Ryuubi causes were pretty hilarious. She just wants to lose weight, but everyone thinks she's pregnant and going into labor. Then Shuri accuses Hisui of being the father. She knows Hisui has a penis that would make a horse jealous!

Then we get a three part fetch quest to send the heroes on another adventure. The ED is pretty amusing, as usual for this franchise.

I believe Kasshin appears in the last 2 episodes of Season 1. She's the one who orders Sou Sou, Kanu and the fake Ryuubi to go and fight some rebels or something. Kanu defies her orders to go back and defend the village from bandits instead.

Episode 1:

- Hey it's... boobs lady. And serious stuff.
- Hahah, Sei is still missing.
- Touka gets a new sword!
- OP! It's pretty good, lots of shots of lots of characters. Obviously guy from the beginning is the new villain, or rather a sub-villain being used by whatshisname fromlast season. And SOUSOU LOVE! Her harem is large.
- Rinrin likes Touka's punipuni thighs. I like them too.
- Wolf steak! ...they ate Horo. ;_;
- Hahahah, what. Touka is momentarily worried that Sui became a futa. >_> And Shuri will be able to use Touka and Sui's position as learning material for her and Hinari. =D
- Tanpopo sure can't beat Sui, but she's not too bad herself.
- She could easily take Touka though. :sd: Touka, you're about as "fat" as Hiro in Hidamari. Which means, you are in fact completely delicious.
- HAHAHAH! I was waiting for *someone* around the table to grasp the obvious and realize Touka was worried about her weight. I thought Tanpopo was about to suggest it. Instead... XD
- CHIBI! RETURNS!
- AHAHAHAHAHAHAH! I knew Shuri would pin this on Sui. XD Oh god, Aisha thinks Sui is a man now. XD
- Sei!! ...She's been looking for a way to make a good entrance. All this time. Hah.
- I can't believe how far they're taking the "giving birth" thing. Wait, yes I can. It's Koihime, and it's awesome.
- lol Kada. Of course he realizes instantly. Sui glared at Shuri.
- Kada is right. Shuri really should have known better. :sd: And I'm sad we didn't get a GENKI NI NAAAAAAARE scene.
- Oh, right, Kashin.
- ...
- ...
- ...NEKOMIMI!!!
- The awful disease called "nyanko-tan!" ::Sui and Sei look at Rinrin's hairpin::
- Oh hey, they just got an excuse to visit the Son family and the Nanban barbarians. And whoever is near that mountain.
- Hmm, breaking everyone up into groups already? Shuri, Touka and Rinrin. Sei, Aisha and Sui.

!!!!! Holy crap this may be the catchiest, cutest ED of them all. Awesome! Love love love it.

"This show's previews are as screwed up as ever." lol. And ooooh, neko-Touka ending image!

Oh yeah, I adore this show. I just hope that they manage to pull out as absurd, and absurdly awesome, an ending as season two did. I hope it doesn't get too serious and plotty at the end, because the way season two handled it is just one of the most brilliant things I have ever seen.

Oh god Hinari's so cute.

So is Shuri (I like to call her Koumei, but this show just makes it hard to refer to anyone easily :P). The purpose of those two is to meet the required minimum cuteness quotient (the whole point of their little reunion dance, frankly).

Still, I think I found the Chouun (Sei)-Bachou (Sui) duo a little more interesting in their dynamics compared to Shuri, Ryuubi, Rin Rin and Tanpopo (Batai), especially the first three. Rin Rin's entire personality got a little old for me way back in the first series, and Ryuubi is not really all that interesting.

I am curious to see how Kan'u fares in the realm of the Son sisters.

And from the very opening with Choujou, it looks like they have aspirations of creating a plot and following the 3 Kingdoms history ever so slightly. Why be so ambitious? :P

Another side-story this week as we take our long-awaited trip to meet the Son family, or more to the point, meet the middle sister Sonken (Renfa - Sun Quan).

The episode is actually focussing on a different character, Ryomou (Ashe - Lu Meng), a trainee under the tutor Kannei (Shishun - Gan Ning) and learning the physical art of fighting unarmed. She's an excellent fighter, but her eyesight is appauling. Regardless, she's put in guard duty for Sonken. Things happen, Sonken takes a liking to the girl and goes out and buys her a pair of glasses (well, not really a pair - it's more of a monacle really).

More stuff happens, and amidst some awesome fight scenes and some really lovely and touching yuri scenes eventually she becomes Sonken's personal guard - like Shuuyu is to Sonsaku.

Ryomou is a really cute character, and I've taken an instant liking to her up front honesty and straightforward enthusiasm. She looks like she'd be fun to tease, but you could depend on her in an emergency. And just to put the icing on her cake, she's voiced by Kaori Mizuhashi.

Episode 2:

- Hey it's... these people! >_> I recognize them but they've gotten little focus so far other than Ryofu.
- And Kayuu is dead! Er, wait, I forgot that NOBODY EVER DIES in Koihime.
- Ahh so Kaku got picked up by icky Choujou.
- These groups really are a weird split. We have the "always missing from the story somehow" group of Sui and Sei. Then the kids (and chidlish adult) group in Touka, Rinrin, Shuri and of course Tanpopo. Heh, her freaking out in the basket amused me.
- Shuri is taking charge! She's so fun.
- Chibi! And Shuri is reunited with her wife Hinari. She enjoys the books... ahem.
- And Hinari lost the special ingredient but can't bring herself to admit it.
- Hah so that's what Tanpopo has on Rinrin.
- Oh god Hinari is tooooooo adorable in the flashback. And I mentally corrected "friends" with "lovers" in Shuri's line.
- Wait, did Shuri just get the fan she was shown with back in the season one OP? Or did she have one before too?
- Ahahaha, Rinrin thought this was a good time to confess her sins to Shuri, but she doesn't get the same treatment as Hinari. :sd:
- And team three... Solo Aisha! How can our protagonist be alone? I guess she'll meet Ryofu, from the sound of things.

Looooooooooooooove this ED.

An invitation to taste Rinrin's breasts >_>

Daaaawwww, Hinari is too cute. Especially when she was first trying to tell everyone about what she did and her face lit up.

I was also quite amused at Touka searching for the grain of sand and dropping it, and the whole scene following Tanpopo being discovered was pretty fun.

Wasn't a bad episode. Actually a little more amusing than some of the earlier ones. Ryomou is a likable character in several respects.

Episode 3:

- ::watches the OP:: I wonder if Touka will ever actually get to do anythng with that sword. She's not really the fighting type, if her "training" with Tanpopo and Sui is any indication.
- Aisha allll alone. Rinrin is shiritori fail!
- Alright, the Son girls. I don't remember a single damn name... Well, some names, but can't put them to faces.
- And hey, some fairly good fight animation! Keep it up guys.
- Ryomou... oooh, yes, I knew I was hearing Miyako. It's Mizuhashi Kaori. She has such a cute voice. Cute cute cute.
- Is Ryomou's vision blurry from the kick or does she just need glasses? It's been a few days and she's still not seeing straight. It's gotta be the latter, since she misjudged the kick itself before she got hit.
- Suddenly chibi for no reason, and it's awesome, every single time.
- Haha, oh, I knew Sonken sounded familiar. Sakurai Harumi = Yurippe in Angel Beats!.
- Yep, she needs glasses. She'll look lovely I'm sure.
- What? Why glasses for only one eye? And how are they staying in place? It looks like they forgot to draw the rest of it >_>
- Oh man it looks so weird.
- Ryomou and Sonken are making for a very cute couple.
- IN BED! REWARD TIME!!
- But Ryomou done fucked up. ;_; And that "thief" was totally just smuggling a weapon into a flute for the girl to use.
- And Ryomou done redeemed herself! <3
- lol fundoshi removal. She can finally get married to Sonken now!

Yeah, Ryomou is fantastic. Need more of the Son family, they've gotten very very little focus so far.

And this ED. <3 <3

Huh, from the final image... was this a flashback episode? Like I said, I really didn't know much of anything about the Son family before (basically, it was just Sonshoukou and her ancient chinese shimapan) but now that I see Ryomou in her strategist get-up she looks so much more familiar.

I honestly don't remember if she was in season 1 or not, but yeah, her normal outfit is the strategist stuff. It certainly implied that these events were happening as Kan'u makes her way towards them, but I guess it could be a flashback

I was hoping to see the cute ninja with long black hair, but maybe she's off with Sonshokou somewhere. Also, I never liked Kannei's design, the way her tsurime are the same angle as the cut of bangs bugs me intensely.

Another week, another dose of awesome yuri-themed cuteness. :)

-There's no better way to start an episode than silly singing by Chouhi-nanoda!
-Suddenly, Gien.
-Gien and Batai fighting. Gien and Chouhi fighting.
-Big Breasts.
-Gengan has very big breasts.
-Gien loves Ryuubi, and Gengan has big breasts.
-More of Gengan's breasts, and more Gien loving Ryuubi.
-Gengan has large breasts, and tortures Gien using ropes and a tickler.
-Koumei averts Chouhi's eyes, but I lookin on enjoyingly.
-Gien's sword is tied shut by breasts. I mean Gengan.
-Breasts and the gang (minus Gien) go for a walk and eat a lot.
-Gien is attacked by some of the only recurring male characters in ths show (the bandits) and can't fight back... poor Gien (I love her hair btw)
-Ryuubi is brave, but hopeless. What the hell happened to her new sword?
-Gien goes berserk for them attacking Ryuubi.
-Ryuubi, Chouhi, Batai, and Koumei leave, but are quickly followed by Gien who has been given Gengan's excessively large weapon. (not her breasts)
-Breasts remains behind.

So, a new member of the party who is visibly gay for Ryuubi (who can blame her) and has a visible rivalry with Batai. This is gonna be fun!

Next week we have the Son brat and the En brat. REAL FUN!

I was about to ask which put Rinrin in more danger. The fact of what she broke or the fact she doesn't qualify as Shuri's lover.

In any case, Shuri showed her awesomeness once more. Sure, the trick she used to out Battai isn't original. However I still like seeing stuff like that on occasion.

Also, I love the view of Shuri given as Battai looked up at Shuri shortly after she jumped out of the basket.

I hope and expect Gengan goes and buys it to replace the weapon she gave to Gien and then gets to use it the next time she shows up. Yay for finally seeing Sonshoukou again. Shuutai was really cute, especially her little scene with the cat. And Ritsukan is a genius.

Mark my words, one of these days Ryuubi will reveal that she's actually all powerful and will cause everyone to bow before her. Yes, I've snapped.

Is there some sort of mystical generic enemy creating spawn point in this world?

Gein has great potential and having her as part of Touka's harem has definite benefits.

The main villain the stream is still strong as ever.

Shuri shall protect Rinrin from stuff that Shuri is enjoying.

Rinrin is right, don't insult Shuri.

This episode gave me a sense of dejavu. I guess because just like episode 3 it involved a character that made mistakes, was forced to break a rule, and ended up having her life changed because of it. With both cases, it turns out that the change was for their greater good.

Bachou and Chouun are criminally underused in this show.

The menma documentary was a nice touch.

Hopefully after she trains up, Gotsutotsukotsu (no wonder they kept tripping over her name :P ) doesn't become as muscular as her sister was. She's cute as she is now.

Not much else to say about this episode - just establishing Gien and Batai as friendly rivals for the most part, with them getting on "mana"-basis at the end though still taunting each other.

Anyway, Enya and Tanpopo's relationship is nice, they should explore it further.

Episode 6:

- I love the face Tanpopo gives Gien. EVIL.
- GOTSUTOTSUKOTSU! Awesome name is really awesome. Typing that out each time should be fun. Then again, this is Koihime, she'll only show up one more time before the end of the series most likely.
- Heh, I expected Sui to be asleep after the menma lecture.
- Gien saves Touka! AND THEN, UNDERWEAR!! I want Tanpopo to take her clothes off too though. ;_;
- ...Well at least she took off her pants. And Touka is ridiculously hot.
- Someone has it out for Gien but keeps almost killing Touka instead. Poor Touka.
- Touka is soft all over! =D Heh she looks amusing draped over little Rinrin.
- And Shuri has to treat a leg wound again.
- CHIBI!! And a mention of an onsen!
- NAKED! Need BD versions now!
- Boo, way too short of a scene.
- Ooh, Gotsutotsukotsu's one comrade with the long dark green hair and bear ears is sexy.
- Holy crap Gotsutotsukotsu's sister was scary looking.
- And huh, someone actually died in Koihime for once. But in a flashback.

Tanpopo x Enya confirmed. Though Gien/Enya is one of my least favorite characters. She's not bad, almost no characters in Koihime are, but there are so many more interesting ones. Like... SOUSOU! Every time I see the ED I miss her more. ;_;

Yay more Son fun next time.

That was a cute little friendship building episode for Tanpop and Gien.

I don't really care about Tongue Twister-chan and her issues, but she served her purpose and at least she brought some cute friends. And its not like we're ever going to see her again anyway. I don't think she's even in the ED, and they somehow managed to fit every single other character in the franchise in that.

The running gag about Kougai's age was amusing. Just how old is she anyway?

I like that Son family fashion runs towards long, high cut dresses with thighhighs. Kougai's garters were especially impressive.

Also, I was totally not expecting them to actually come right out and state that Sheren and Shuuyu were lovers. I'm...impressed, actually.

And the payoff was awesome.

Episode 7:

- Aisha arrives at the Son castle! Yay. And yay Ryoumou and Shuutai!
- Ah, it's hard to keep track of names for the ones we don't see often. Especially when they mix mana, style, and official names. Or whatever the types were called.
- Very brief with Sui and Sei again. I guess it's hard to really do anything extended with them. They don't interact a lot.
- CHIBIIIII! =D
- Steeeeeeeeam. =( Make it up to us by sexxing the information out of her!
- So Kougai's eiyuu struck me as something I've never heard before. ANN has virtually nothing else for the seiyuu.
- Next she gets Shuuyu totally drunk!
- Sonshoukou really is ridiculously cute.
- Holy crap, Shuutai's cat obsession hits new levels. And she pulls Aisha into it!
- Pretty sure the one twin is named Shoukyou, not Shoukou as it's being subbed.
- Hahah, Sonshoukou briefly seems like she'll be remorseful about locking Shuuyu nad Sonsaku in together... but haha no, not at all. Evil!
- Poor Kougai. You still look damn good for your age! Whatever that age is.
- HAH YES! YURI CONFIRMED! Well, like that's a surprise in this show. The ten year anniversary of their first sexxing!
- Oh man, they're totally going at it. Kougai, you are a genius indeed. The Song Family would never fall with someone like you on their side.
- Ahahah and then they get discovered. XD
- ...Wow, Aisha sure had an easy time with her part of the mission, huh?

Hawawa hawawa hawawa, hau hau~ I love this show.

Catgirls, tiny pink elephants, and traps, but not in the way that I usually mention.

It seems like Sui and Sei have gotten stuck in the reminding us that they're still there role.

Given Enya's talk about how if she had let her guard down she would have died, it makes me wonder if the one she had "killed" had actual intent to kill herself.

At least we can now assume that in the future some arguments between Enya and Tanpopo will lead to them ravaging each other.

Poor Shuri, she continues to be the target of Rinrin.

Touka is well, she's at the very least soft. Also, she's making sure there's some breasts in the group.

Is it bad that I hope we never see the dead sister again? Yes, I know, but they could still attack us with more flashbacks.

Holy crap. Yuri levels at 100%! That was..... very nice, to say the least. I was expecting them to the typical "haha, they were really referring to something completely non-sexual" joke, but.... Shuuyu and Sheren all but explicitly said they were a couple, and they did confirm it physically.

More like that please, Koihime Musou. We haven't gotten anywhere near this level since, like, episode 2 or 3 of the first season. On that note, I want Sousou. Now. And I want her to finally succeed in ravaging Kann'u.

Also, Shuutai continues to be absolutely adorable when she encounters a cat.

"Hard to keep track of" is a huge understatement. It's bad enough that the show has about 100 characters already with only a tiny fraction appearing remotely regularly, but having 2 names each (the third name almost never comes up, thank god; the only time I recall third names being mentioned for anyone is when the core characters make their first introductions, or reintroductions at the beginning of season 2) makes the whole situation completely insane. I've stopped putting any real effort into remembering the names. I'll take note of the most used name of the new or main characters of the episode, at least long enough to make a post. Then I'll forget most of them by the next episode, or even a little after I make my post.

- So Kougai's eiyuu struck me as something I've never heard before. ANN has virtually nothing else for the seiyuu.

All the characters in Koihime Musou have the same seiyuu as the original game (well, the ones that are from it at least), so there's some seiyuu in there that mostly voice eroge and aren't in anime that much (or are in minor roles). Looking her up on Japanese Wikipedia (http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%B4%AB%E8%8B%91%E3%81%BF%E3%82%84%E3%81%B3) for the heck of, it actually seems she's very prolific in voicing games and her work even goes all the way back to the 90's! The only other anime credit she ever had was Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo, which as with this one, was a role reprised from the original game. Interesting to hear some different voices, though.

- Pretty sure the one twin is named Shoukyou, not Shoukou as it's being subbed.

Yeah, they are Daikyou and Shoukyou. I noticed the subtitle error too.

I liked the short scene with Shuutai obsessed with the cat. That was really cute. The "old" gag with Kougai was pretty amusing too, particularly when she lost it for a bit while trying to deceive Shuuyu (hah...) Otherwise, this ep was a little boring to me, but got more interesting near the very end when we finally learned the basis of Sonsaku and Shuuyu's disagreement.

The running gag about Kougai's age was amusing.

In Sangokushi Engi (The Romance of The Three Kingdoms), Kōgai serves the Son family for a long time. In Yokoyama Mitsuteru (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsuteru_Yokoyama)'s manga version (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yokoyama_Mitsuteru_Sangokushi) of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is popular among manga fans and fans of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms in Japan, Kōgai is depicted as an elderly person (http://art12.photozou.jp/pub/11/116011/photo/25799252.jpg). So, the 'Kōgai is "old".' joke is easy to catch on to for Japanese fans of The Romance of The Three Kingdoms.
Recently I happened to reread some volumes of the manga by Yokoyama.

Heh, my own approach was to switch to using mana names when the main characters started calling each other that (hence Chouun has been Sei to me, and Kanu, Aisha, ever since) but almost everyone else gets their less intimate names by default. I guess I'll have to switch Gien over soon too if she sticks with Touka permanently. Basically, if you're in Aisha's inner circle or very closely connected to it, mana it is. Once that's how said circle starts referring to you anyway.

I don't have too much familiarity with the source, but I do know in the strategy game by Koei (I've had RotK4 for the SNES for a very long time now, and still go back to play it from time to time), Kougai (Huang Gai) is depicted as an old man in his portrait. So, I think I at least understood the basis for that. In Koihime Musou, it seems the characters that were known to be active in their old age tend to be depicted as the mature and large-breasted ones :) (I think that's the case with Kouchuu and Gengan as well).

Huh, that's odd, seems there's an error in the original source there are far as the yomigana is concerned (since it seems the kanji is correct). It's definitely supposed to be "Moukaku" (孟獲). "Moutoku" (孟徳) is Sousou's style name, so someone must have temporarily gotten names mixed up.

Oh, right, there's a plot. We're heading towards all out civil war as the three major groups we've been getting to know over the seasons (and have been busy recruiting new strategists or otherwise adding to their number) now prepare to head to the capital and kill the supposed traitor.

I was amused at how everyone in Aisha's group is completely convinced (rightly, but without evidence) that Toutaku is innocent. I'm sure it won't take Sousou and Sonsaku very long to come to the same conclusion. Enshou will be clueless until it's all over, of course.

Zhang Fei was famous for his yell, so it's no surprise that Rin Rin/Chouhi gets off a good shout near the beginning.

As one would expect, when Shuutai is presented with a pair of cat ears, she cannot resist the urge to want to pet them.

Her choice of place to get Kaku's attention was highly amusing, of course. But one does have to wonder a bit about how Shuutai must have smelled after that rendezvous.

- I was just about to comment on how Touka wasn't saying anything (when technically she's the leader of an army like Sousou and Sonsaku and Paipai) but now she pipes up. And gets shot down, harshly. Jun'iku is mean. :sd:

Hahhahahahaha, Touka's confused face at the end is perfect.

The preview is so amusing.

And man I can't wait to get the first BD in-hand and watch the clean ED in 1080p. <3 Well if it's on Vol. 1.

Also, SEXY SOUSOU ending illustration!

In this episode, Shuutai decides to be awesome. Yue gets rescued and another loli is saved. Also, some guy decides that he's jealous and wants to be the final boss.

Lots of Shuutai being cute, especially when she asks to touch Kashin's cat ears, and she gets to show off her ninja skills this time too.

And Keifa finally had an almost decent number of lines and screentime this episode. Almost. At least we got a really cute scene with her, when she was less than pleased with everyone dissing cat ears.

But Sousou still didn't ravage Aisha, even though they were in the same building. :(

And holy crap the Shuutai illustration at the end is amazing.

Oh wow, that was amazing. ... I didn't realize there even were illustrations at the end, since I stop watching as soon as the next episode preview starts.

I don't remember Chouryou at all. And I still don't remember the pink haired girl with the ugly twintails. I'm beginning to wonder if I even saw the episode that introduced them and skipped it somehow.

Toutaku's audience with Sousou was just an all around fantastic scene. Toutaku's display of leaderly responsibility, and Sousou and her advisor's handling of it were just perfect. And then Toutaku becomes Tonton.

Barbarian girls liek boobies.

And yet another episode goes by without Sousou engaging in sexual escapades with someone. It doesn't even have to be Aisha she does it with. Heck, I actually prefer Sousou x Keifa.

Well, that would explain it to some degree, though I would still think I would have some inkling of a memory of them. When the pink haired girl popped up earlier in this season, I just though "wait, have I ever even seen her before?" Oh well, I don't like either of them anyway, so I'm not exactly itching to go check and refresh myself.

Episode 12:

- Strategy conferences and all that. More importantly, hahah, the breast goddesses Kashin, Enya, Gengan and Shion are sitting around a table, each with a catgirl in their laps, enjoying the boobs.
- At the conference, Touka draws her sword. I so expected her to go "So how do I project my will to defeat evil?" and everyone to faceplant, but they played it straight. :sd:

- Chou sisters! Do nothing!
- Toutaku's group is leaving but they'll no doubt be turning around to join the fight soon.
- Everyone was saved because Touka is incompetent in martial matters! Heh. They're lucky she didn't use the sword because then Ukitsu would have heard about it at some point.
- Well that's the most phallic "enemy battle formation" I've ever seen.
- So the devise a plan to get at Ukitsu but nobody really addresses what the heck adorable ditz Touka will do when she actually reaches him...
- Heh, well at least Touka worries about it. Although she's persuaded by getting her own Kachou Kamen mask that she'll be okay >_>
- The plan is formed! Everyone's positions are laid out and it's about as you'd expect. The final strike force is, of course, Touka, Aisha and Rinrin.
- Ahahaah, Sui is an idiot. <3 Hitting Tanpopo for being in the basket. When she's standing right next to her. >_>

- Ah, Choujou listened in on ther sword conversation and tips off Ukitsu in exchange for an antidote. Also, Ukitsu apparently speaks rat.
- Time for rousing speeches! Enshou actually manages to not look like an ass. Although the fact that she's only addressing two soldiers is pretty pathetic. :sd:
- Well, and Paipai screws up too. =P
- Shuutai is a kite! <3 <3 <3 the fight begins.

- Ouch that's some ugly CG on the clay soldiers.
- Sousou and Kyocho in action! <3
- Reaaaaaaally long self-introductions as each of the squads penetrates to Ukitsu's side.
- And each time Shuri calls for the squads to advance, she sounds waaaay weird. Huh.
- ...Wow, that was bad, Touka. Points for effort and all but they really should have sent someone up with you.

- The real guard gets a couple seconds to make their presence known.
- And... HAH, well that was awesome. Touka wasn't Touka, she was Choukaku. =D The real Touka jumps out of Rinrin's basket (yeah I didn't really stop and think about what was actually in there) all badass, gets some serious height, and hurls the sword into Ukitsu, who was tripped by Choukaku. You're not useless after all, Touka! =D And man Choukaku makes a good Touka.
- Kada gets to do his epic mecha pilot yells again...
- And the clay soldiers are stopped just in time.

Not as epically mind-blowing as the dueling concerts in season two, but still a lot of fun.

And a very cute epilogue.

FOURTH SEASON, WHERE!?

This was actually really awesome. I'd never stopped to consider just how similar Choukaku and Touka are, and the fact that "Touka's" hair suddenly got several shades lighter never registered

They weren't even trying to hide the reference. TURN TO LIGHT DUST!

And a very cute epilogue.

Absolutely adorable on all levels

I noticed some similarity, but it was only when you put then right next to each other that it hit me that they are the same exact character design, with only their hair being different shades.

But that was amusing, nonetheless.

Koumei was pretty awesome when yelling "# squad, open!"

Enshou and Reiha bringing reinforcements was a cute scene. Operation Big Surprise was a pretty nice tag team attack, and Choukaku and Ryuubi's hand gestures when they dubbed the attack were cute.

And the ED sequences is just all sorts of awesome, with an extra-heavy concentration of cuteness from all across the cast.

Hahhahahahaha, Touka's confused face at the end is perfect.

That and it's fun watching the others just staring at her. Nothing like a character's importance increasing near the end.

This episode may have the most number of cast in the end credits ever. There must have been over 20+ characters in the episode who had spoken lines.

All of these last few episodes have been huge as far as the cast list goes. Almost everyone from every faction gets a chance to speak.

Touka's lack of skill at fighting is a good thing!

Various Characters: Darn it, I'm getting a line in this episode no matter what.

The "Mask" part was simple, but a neat way to handle things.

Fun scenes in the ending.

Yeah, this series remains fun.

I think this show is growing in strength and like its sister series, Ikkitousen, it needs at least 5 more seasons. The yuri seems to have strengthened and the main plot at least had more substance than the previous seasons.
I do think that eps 2-8 felt a little random at times though and by the last episode, it sometimes seemed like the show was collapsing under the weight of having 100+ characters each with different official and personal name. The scriptwriter for the last episode was rather eh...having the characters all competing to shout out hokey battle lines. This show did not have enough Bachou and we need to have Sousou ravaging Kanu. Also most of Choun and Chouhi's scenes are cringeworthy.

Still, this series gets high praise from me and I look forward to the 4th season. The 4th season better have scenes of Kanu having hot explicit yuri.

This episode went up on TAN not too long ago, so I decided to go check it out. We're back at school for this one, and this time it's the culture festival (I was thinking the first one was about that too, but that was the sports festival, maybe?) Not sure if true or not, but this episode doesn't feel as much of a ecchi fanservice fest as the previous episodes, aside from the opening scene (like how they poke fun at getting rid of the steam censors...) Still some good yuri fanservice moments there, though (the hottest being another Sousou footlicking scene)

Almost everyone from the three series makes some kind of appearance here. The opening credits gives everyone's name/style name/nickname, and the ending cast list is so hilariously long. The episode kind of suffers a bit for jumping through almost everyone in such a short time, but interesting noticing them (some like Choujou just make a quick background appearance).
