Seems to be a new style for the movies that mirror the season sets. It's a shame that it doesn't sound like they'll be redubbing it, because that doesn't bode very well for the Mystical Adventure and Sleeping Princess in Devil's Castle movies as far as redubs go (and God knows they both need it...badly). Regardless I'll probably pick this up because it's being released uncut for the first time.

YES! I've only been waiting for this movie to be released (uncut) for like ten years! Needless to say I'm getting it as fast as I can. It's already listed at RightStuf too.

I just want you guys to know that across three or four forums I participate in there has been some confusion regarding the dub as the article from Anime Otaku claims it is uncut but has the original Ocean/BLT-whatever dub.
So...yeah...

That's weird, why would they use the ocean dub when they could make a new track with the new english voices..

Oh and that article made me rofl so hard when they said the dub for Death Note and Black Lagoon were "meh".

Black FUCKING Lagoon is "meh"? Wow I wonder if he's ever even watched the entire show dubbed..

The blue and white are nice, but it is starting to feel a tad overdone.

I actually really like this cover; it's not utterly bland like the DBZ movies, is consistent with the season sets, and has some nice art.

I'm not against it looking like the sets for the tv series, we do like it when things match.

Just an alternative start really. I miss Agent Mai & her canine sidekick, but the more violent, ruthless movie equivalent is sexy fun in her own right. And voiced by Mami Koyama. Definitely better for not having that blue-faced runt king the TV show has.

I'm somewhat surprised that this is delayed. Considering how lucrative the Dragon Ball franchise is for Funi, I'd have thought they'd try to avoid any significant delays.

I really hope the Movie is Digitally Remastered, and of course it's gonna be uncut and bilingual, this is FUNimation we are talking about after all.

And since the cover art says "Movie One", I assume they will be re-releasing Movies 2-4?

I'm actually curious as to why you take this as a bad thing. If anything the original dub for this movie was pretty poor and you couldn't re-use that dub because edits were made if I recall correctly.

It's not that I think that a re-dub is bad (in fact it's great), but I'm just dissapointed that they didn't use the TV series cast for some of the voices (especially Kid Goku), it just doesn't seem right to me.

Just wanted to pass the little tidbit along. It appears Best Buy broke the street date, and have Curse of the Blood Rubies for sale NOW!! (prior to their 12/28 release date) It was 12.99 too. You might want to check at a store near you.
