FUNimation announced it has acquired home entertainment, digital and merchandising rights to the live action horror comedy VAMPIRE GIRL VS. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL from Eleven Arts Entertainment.
<div>VAMPIRE GIRL VS FRANKENSTEIN GIRL was directed by Naoyuki Tomomatsu and Yoshihiro Tomomatsu, the dark minds that brought you cult classics like TOKYO GORE POLICE, THE MACHINE GIRL...

I thought the premise might work but watching the clip...it looks like an even less enjoyable film than Death Becomes Her. :sd:

Looks like Funimation wants to compete with Switchblade/Section23 now
Wow, that looks beyond horrible.
Vamp girl is hot though!
I saw the PR earlier today. I wasn't sure what say about this. It's probably not something I will pick up.

I love it when a movie's title is also its concept.

What did I just watch? My mind is boggled.
Just looks horrible, yet so damn amusing at the same time.

It's so weird I just might buy it.

It's like a live action Reiko the Zombie Shop, just without the love. And if Reiko's reception tells me anything, it's that America hates hot women, big breasts, and buckets of gore.

Female version of a classic monster vs female version of a classic monster isn't such a bad concept in of itself. However I don't think I'd be able to enjoy it in the style it's being presented.

First impressions: that was a lot of arterial spray. A wrist cut rally? (Check the sign in the background of the scene where they're, well, cutting wrists.) Yeah, I don't think I'll check this out (and I was one of those that laughed and enjoyed the robo-geisha one).

I saw that...all I could think was they were going for some sort of dark humor as the sign might have been a "prevention of" type thing...

I've seen a couple of clips (aside from this trailer), and IMO, this seems like the perfect movie for a group of friends to laugh about and make fun of over pizza and beer. (...or maybe I just have a strange group of friends).
This will at least be a rental for me due to the level of ridiculousness.

When I first heard of this...I thought wow it's gonna be lame, then I heard there was a lot of blood...watched the trailer....liked the fact that there was a lot of blood, dismemberment...but it was done in such a horribly fake way..
oh well, I'm not even gonna touch this.
