This means that my mind is often preoccupied by many, many thoughts during the course of the day. It gets very distracting, to say the least. Hopefully, this will help as some sort of outlet. Maybe.

Yay, another DPF fan! While I enjoy the original DP, I much prefer Dirty Pair Flash. I don't know if it's the character designs, the characters themselves, the voice acting, the "new school" animation, but it's a heck of a lot of fun.

Same here. The Original Dirty Pair never did much for me, but I found Flash roundly entertaining.
Also they're hotter, especially Yuri. |

Another DPF fan. It was the first Dirty Pair I actually watched. And while I have grown to quite like the original stuff, Flash is my sentimental favorite. Or at least the one that I can re-watch more often.
Maybe it's because it had just slightly a little more similarity to Adam Warren's stuff, where my exposure to the property began. |

Awesome, so it appears that I'm not alone
. While the 80's incarnation certainly had it's own charms, Flash reached out to me more. I practically grew up on series of the 90's. My first exposure to the stuff that wasn't airing on Toonami were the OVAs and films from the previous decade that often played on various premium channels. Perhaps DPF tapped into that nostalgia. Also, I'm a sucker for Takahiro Kimura's character designs. It's amazing how much his very distinct and recognizable style has developed since then. |

GAH!
So thats why they are so much sexier! I never even checked to see who designed them. |

![]() Count me as another DPF fan. Much better than the original. Silly fun, hot women and explosions. Do you really need anything more? It's too bad the series of OVAs are so short in the end. |

And also too bad that the third OVA series is so much weaker than the first two (IMHO).

Also, I <3 Rica Matsumoto. Her songs rock, she owns the role as Kei, and in Episode 3 of Mission 2 she pulls out a voice I wasn't aware that she was capable of. "Rub Silently, Titillate Under, Violate me there!" Guh... It's only for a few seconds, but it's totally
. |

I came to the Pair through the Adam Warren comics too (which I still consider the best version for intelligent SF storytelling, uhhh, insofar as a concept based in massive property destruction lends itself to intelligent SF storytelling.) But basically I love every version, and Flash seems to exert an especially strong pull.

I finally got around to watching some of the third OVA. I've seen 3 episodes so far, and I thought they held up pretty well. Keitarou is adorable, as is Kei's warming up to the little brat.
One thing to note is how in the second episode, the duo's personalities are summed up in one scene each in their vacation choices. While Yuri's idea of fun is hanging out with a rich stud on his father's private yacht, all Kei needs is a fishing pole, some bait, and a cooler full of beer and she's good to go. And my god, Monica and THAT VOICE. Also, volleyball is SERIOUS FUCKING BUSINESS. |
