Key Academy - Part 1

I actually have some free time to post to this blog. As work has been stressful these past few weeks, a little time to escape was something much needed. That came in the form of Katuscon which was held in National Harbor in the DC area recently

Anyways, to the main topic of this blog post. Although I'm sure at least one if not more people have thought of this already. As anime fans, I'm sure most of you are familiar with the series by Key/Visual Arts Kanon, Air, and Clannad. As popular as those 3 series are, Key/Visual Arts has managed to capture the hearts of its fans with its emotionally charged stories and lovable characters over the past 10 years.

As CLAMP has managed to craft an entirely original story using many of its memorable characters, including Sakura of CCS, Chii of Chobits, and numerous others for Tsubasa Chronicles, would it be possible for Key/Visual Arts to do the same?

There's certainly enough characters that this could be done with, but the question is, "What would be the setting and the story?"

This multi-part blog I will be exploring a possible idea and how I would cast the characters. One thing I do want to keep in mind is retaining recognizable elements of each of the characters. And with that, this is what I would start with:

As far as overall storyline, because of the sheer amount of characters, this could get quite chaotic, though I'm wondering if it could be pulled off in the style of My-Hime/My-Otome. This of course is probably material to do fanfics which I haven't done in quite a long time.

The best part about this idea is the potential for Ayu to meet Fuuko.

As for story idea? Personally, I'd like a more relaxed story. The characters have gone through enough drama in their respective stories.

Plus I'd probably follow the idea that some characters would have larger roles than others. As well as the rule that you don't need everyone to appear at once.

One thing that would definitely be needed is a school festival episode, with mixed groups having their own theme.

	The lack of characters from Little Busters! in this academy is disturbing (not to mention Planetarian, Tomoyo After, and ReWrite). In Key's 10th Anniversary Poll, five of the characters were from LB, including the only male: Kyousuke. For the record, Air had one and Clannad had the remaining four.

	I'm going to guess that, like much of the rest of us, aquastar is not very familiar with Little Busters. I would be thrilled to have this changed though. SO WHERE IS MY LITTLE BUSTERS ANIME KYOANI?!

	Actually, I do know the Little Busters characters. Since there isn't an anime version yet of that one, maybe this would be a series for them to make their appearance. The only characters I don't know are from Planeterian and ReWrite. I realize now I forgot Kanna and her friends from Air. Kanna would probably either be a teacher or maybe a shrine maiden at one of the temples

	The idea of having these characters meet is amusing (and technically, a few Kanon characters did meet Yukito in Air, as everyone here knows). I think I agree with Suika that it would have to be a lighthearted comedy. No serious drama or angst/pain/sorry/depression/attempts to extort weeping from the audience. A silly school comedy would be just fine.

	I would also have a rivalry form between the Key Academy and North High (Haruhi). It would make for some fun stories and bring the major non-Key series with the same anime director into the fold.
