As you may or may not know, Sunday, March 14th is Pi Day
. My family is celebrating in the only way possible: we're making pie.
So I need to decide on a pie or two to make. It's a bit early in the year for making a pie from fresh fruit (and I don't really feel like using frozen or canned), so it'll either be a cream pie or a custard pie.
I suppose I could do the legendary Bacon Cream Pie again. A mint white chocolate pie might be good. I could get a historical recipe and make a vinegar pie.
I've already made Schadenfreude pie, which is unfortunately very difficult to eat--Schadenfreude does not go down easily. I thought about making cake pie: baking cake batter inside a pie crust. Hmm... maybe some sort of minced beet concoction?
