Obscure + Confusion = The Land of Obscusion! The name might be temporary, but I like it. And, see, there's already an English logo for this show!

Doing something a little differnt this time, and as a slight jab at the Nostalgia Critic's "Top 11" lists, I decided to do a Top 12 list of my personal favorite hot-blooded anime opening themes.

Not much else to say but please enjoy:

KOTOKO!!!

I've only just started listening to this (it's loading rather slowly at the moment), but consider me pleasantly surprised to see you start off with Kotoko's Re-sublimity, from Kannazuki no Miko. + I LOVE Kotoko.

Colour me shocked if a SRW song/new Gaiking OP/anything by Jam Project isn't on the list. (I'd say GGG OP1 too but I'm just going to safely assume that it's there. )

Gaiking and GaoGaiGar are on the list. Most SRW songs wouldn't count as they're not anime openings (and the actual SRW anime openings aren't as great as the ones on my list). As for Re-sublimity, I wanted to start the list off with a surprising entry, and KOTOKO did deliver a surprisingly hot-blooded opening theme for that show.

I am honestly a little surprised that I didn't get a JAM Project song on the list, but I still stand somewhat behind my list.

OK, just saw the rest.

And oh man, you win brownie points for putting Ginga Densetsu Weed on the list! I had totally forgotten about it (I actually saw this one as it was being translated) and as soon as I heard the guitar riffs I was like "F*CK YEAH WEEEDOOO!"

At that point I remembered about New Gaiking's OP and was thinking "oh man he HAS to have that on his list!"

And you did!

I was also pleased to see Heats and Hustle Muscle on the list. I haven't seen their respective shows, but have heard of those songs before.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed it!

You sound like a guy I knew in college.

Oh, and FTR: "Kannaduki no Miko" translates to "Shrine Maidens of the Godless Month"

I would have expected something from Shin Mazinger

Kanjite Knight
The Guardian

or Kotetsu Shin Jeeg

Stormbringer
Dead or Alive

I would have included Shugoshin -The Guardian- personally, to get both Mazinger and JAM Project into the listing.

I had thought about putting in a Mazinger song, especially Kanjite Knight, but I just felt that the ones in my list were just more memorable in the long-run. I always feel that among JAM Project's songs, their insert songs are their best ones, though their other songs are generally excellent as well... With maybe the exception of SoulTaker, which would probably be #13, in all honestly.

As for Koutetsushin Jeeg's songs, they're excellent songs, but neither of them are "top" material when compared to what I did choose. Like I said in the videos, I could do entire Top 12 lists based around speicifc artists like any member of JAM Project or the group itself, and that did make it tough to decide on some of these songs. I might do a "Top 12 Other Hot-Blooded Anime Opening Themes" one day, just so that I can get to some of the others.
