A random blog about anime, sports, and other items I feel like talking about. The above image is an amalgamation of Hanamaru Kindergarten and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, which was displayed in the Hanamaru Kindergarten Fan Club at MyAnimeList.net (the club I'm a member in).

ESPN Streak for the Cash Diary - May 24

Today's Picks

A light board for Monday with only 8 options at the time of this blog post, so hopefully the StreakMaster will add some French Open tennis matches on the board as that Grand Slam event started yesterday. The first pick of the day is a international friendly soccer match between England and Mexico as the two squads are preparing for next month's World Cup. The game will be played at Wembly Stadium in London.

In the NHL Playoffs the Philadelphia Flyers will look to close out the Montreal Canadiens and advance to the Stanley Cup Finals, where the Chicago Blackhawks are waiting. The Blackhawks advanced by sweeping the San Jose Sharks yesterday.

In the NBA Playoffs the Boston Celtics look to complete a 4-game sweep of the Orlando Magic. The prop is a most points matchup between Kevin Garnett and Dwight Howard.

The MLB schedule is very light today, so the Streak board only have 2 games - Red Sox at Rays and Blue Jays at Angels. There are a couple of props involving the Red Sox-Rays game: Evan Longoria's resulst of his first plate appearance (hit, walk, strikeout, or something else), will there be a run scored in the 5th inning, and how many batters will strike out in the 8th inning (over/under at 1).

My planned picks for today are as follows:

Soccer - Mexico to win, draw, or lose by 1
NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
MLB - Toronto Blue Jays

Yesterday's Results

Yesterday I went 3-2 with my picks. All of my wins came during the Yankees-Mets game where I picked all three props correctly (Jeter getting a hit in his first plate appearance, a HR hit in the 2nd inning, and no runs scored by either team in the 8th). The losses were from Martin Laird and the Reds losing to the Indians. My record for May now stands at 46-45-1.
