2010 Picks of the Week - Company Breakdown (Second Half)

The second half of the 2010 anime retail season is over and now it's time to list the releases that won the weekly Pick of the Week polls on the Mania.com forum. The list covers the winners from July 7 to December 28 along with their distributor. The second half was a lot closer then the first half, but in the end Sentai Filmworks came away on top with 12 titles. First half winners can be viewed here. The second half winners:

Whether you trust them or not, it was another good half for Section23 as they won another 12 awards under the Sentai Filmworks label. Though it was a lot closer than the first half of the year as FUNimation scored some big wins with such titles as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Eden of the East. Bandai's two wins came from their big labels Mobile Suit Gundam and the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. VIZ scored wins with Bleach and Naruto, Nozomi's only win came from the relaunch of the original Dirty Pair release, and NISA scored their first win with Toradora (despite some issues with video quality). Sentai ended up claiming the year with 24 of the 52 possible awards handed out. FUNimation was a distant second with 11 wins.
