Note: Shugo Chara! spoilers ahead. You have been warned!
I started reading Shugo Chara!
seven weeks ago, and it's been a great read. It looks like a great title for little girls, with its cute character designs and the positive morals that Peach-Pit are trying to express. I've currently hit a lull in my reading thanks to school, but hopefully I'll have caught up with the library's run of volumes (they have up to Vol. 9) by the weekend. A definite purchase in the future.
But that's not the point of this blog entry.
Cool, elegant beauties are among my favourite female archetypes, and Nadeshiko Fujisaki embodies that archetype.
Long, sleek purple hair, proficient for her age in dance, cheerful and a great friend to Amu - she is what her name implies. I constantly switch between her, Amu and Utau as my favourite female character in Shugo Chara!, and Nadeshiko often wins out.
And then Peach-Pit went and made her into a trap
. Or should I say him
I don't really hate traps; I've just never been a fan of one. I haven't even encountered many traps in my anime viewing. But now, I'm finally a fan of one. It'll be interesting to see how Nagihiko's situation with his character eggs will play out.
Still, a part of me screams WHY PEACH-PIT, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY
