The drafting phase of the 2011 Anime Draft has been completed, and along with that my Rapid Fire segment conducted by Buckeye is finished. Here's the second part of the segment:
After Round 7:
Let's say that you get to steal one character from any of your competitor's draft class. Who would you steal?
Either Victorique or Yurippe - Victorique for her smarts, and Yurippe for her leadership.
Pick one character that was selected in [Round 7] other than your own that is the current odds-on favorite to receive one of your votes (just mention the name of a single character without mentioning any other character selected in the round).
Right now it's Asa Shigure (of Shuffle!).
After Round 8:
Time to look at your team. Out of your characters, which ones do you have the highest and lowest expectations for in the voting stage (pick only one for each)?
Highest expectation: Nanoha. In all my years playing this game I feel that she gives me the best chance to finally win a round.
Lowest expectation: Luke Ainsworth.
Pick one character that was selected in [Round 8] other than your own that is the current odds-on favorite to receive one of your votes (just mention the name of a single character without mentioning any other character selected in the round).
Hard to choose cause there are several characters that I like, but I'm leaning towards Vita (of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's).
After Round 9:
Out of the first nine picks, which one least fits your team and why?
Kanata because she's the only one that doesn't use a weapon or have any special powers.
Pick one character that was selected in [Round 9] other than your own that is the current odds-on favorite to receive one of your votes (just mention the name of a single character without mentioning any other character selected in the round).
Truthfully there are only 4 characters (excluding my one) that I actually know, so my voting choices are very limited. Right now I'm leaning towards Rena (Ryuuguu of the Higurashi series) - amazing that Spirit has a knack for picking characters that I like

.
After Round 10:
Time to take another look at all your competitors. Which character that was drafted in rounds 6-10 do like the best from each of them? Select a character from each competitor and elaborate on your choices.
It's really hard for me to answer this question fairly because the vast majority of characters that were taken in Rounds 6-10 were from shows that I haven't seen or liked. So I'm going to pass on this question for now.
Pick one character that was selected in [Round 10] other than your own that is the current odds-on favorite to receive one of your votes and explain how sure you are about the vote without mentioning other characters by name that were selected in this round.
At this point I'm going to go with the detective with an unhealthy passion for sweets (L of Death Note).
After Round 11:
Give an overall assessment of your first 11 picks. Who would you say is your biggest steal (someone you picked that you thought would be taken earlier), biggest reach (someone you thought that you could have picked later), and biggest risk (usually someone from a low-profile anime, but it could be due to a number of other red flags, so I will leave it to you to decide what that is)? Explain why you think so.
Biggest steal: Given that nearly half of the field wanted her at some point, I have to say that Ikamusume was my steal of the draft. No one else on my roster even came close.
Biggest reach: Luke Ainsworth. He's already facing a big handicap by being a male character going up against a female-dominate, moe-oriented voting public. But I don't know how many people actually watched/purchased Sacred Blacksmith, let alone liked it. It did received a favorable review on this site, but feelings were mixed on this show from what I read. Cecily had a big disadvantage last year with her show being unlicesned at the time and not being streamed by any of the legal sites (like Crunchyroll). Maybe it will be different with her and Luke this year with the FUNimation license and distribution.
Biggest risk: Mai Tokiho, and that's because I made a judgement error when I took her in the same round that Natsuki was drafted.
Pick one character that was selected in [Round 11] other than your own that is the current odds-on favorite to receive one of your votes and explain how sure you are about the vote without mentioning other characters by name that were selected in this round.
There's only three characters outside of Batou that I know, and I haven't decided among those three who I'm voting for so no comment.
After Round 12:
Who is left over from your list of possible draftees (in addition to being eligible for selection by you, it can also include characters that you thought about picking from a series but opted to go with someone else from that same series)?
Actually I didn't keep a list of draftees this season, so the best answer I can give is no one.
If there is a round 13, who would you take? Also, which character going undrafted surprised you the most?
I'll answer both questions with one character - Eclair from Kiddy Grade. I was thinking about taking her in the later rounds, but I was fearful that she might have lost some of her appeal with Kiddy Grade being an older show and all. But she would've fit my theme beautifully.
Pick one character that was selected in [Round 12] other than your own that is the current odds-on favorite to receive one of your votes and explain how sure you are about the vote without mentioning other characters by name that were selected in this round.
Oh, I'm definitely voting for Sanae (of Shinryaku! Ikamusume) because I want Ika-chan and her Squidvaders to give her the business

! She'll probably view it as some sort of orgy and enjoy it
