A random blog about anime, sports, and other items I feel like talking about. The above image is an amalgamation of Hanamaru Kindergarten and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, which was displayed in the Hanamaru Kindergarten Fan Club at MyAnimeList.net (the club I'm a member in).

After nearly 6 years of discussing anime, sports, playing the mini-games such as the Anime Draft and the Guessing Games over on the English Track forum, and the occasional argument or two, I decided that it's time for me to move on. Some of you might remember that two years ago I made a hasty exit from this site because I have an emo trip over some comments that I made in regards to Bandai's release of Hayate the Combat Butler, only to return three days later after I mellowed out. But this move will be permanent. I'm now a registered user over at the new site called Fandom Post, which pretty much maintained the same structure and charm as the old Anime on DVD site.
As for the Weekly Releases Polls that I post on this site every week, I'm going to take the time to inform you that the poll for the releases of May 17, 2011, will indeed be the final poll that I will post on Mania, and thus I'm officially resigning. I started posting the polls over at Fandom Post a couple of weeks ago, and will continue to do so there. Needless to say this was a very difficult decision for me to make, but with the changing landscape of Mania.com and the launch of Fandom Post, I felt that it was time to let go of the reigns that I held for the last 4 years. If anyone wished to take over for me starting next week, feel free to do so.
I'm not sure how long Mania will keep the anime section of their site open, as I noticed that a good majority of the users here (including me) have migrated over to Fandom Post. That uncertainty is the main reason why I'm making this move.
As for my blog, this will be the final post of the Hanamaru Blog - at least for the Mania version. I'll resume my blog posting over on Fandom Post, though I am keeping the title of my blog.
While I'm sad to be leaving a forum I've called home for 6 years, I did enjoyed my time here and wish the best for those that decide to stay here.
