Greetings to you this fine evening (or morning, for those among you who sleep at normal times). It has come to my attention that Mania offers a blog feature that I can use to post irrelevancies so other people don't have to see them in the off topic section. I was going to post about pumpkin pie, but I have little left to say about that.
Therefore, I ask this question to anyone who might be reading this: What, in your opinion, are some of the most annoying kanji? Tonight, I had the misfortune to study 飛 and 残. Any kanji can be memorized if you spend enough time on it, but some are just a pain to "draw". Even if you have it memorized, and even if you use the right stroke order, sometimes it just doesn't look right. This can sometimes be true even of very simple kanji, such as 母, or even 手. It just doesn't curve the right way unless I spend more time on it than a 4-stroke character should require.
And then, of course, there are the kanji that are just fucking obnoxious, like 機. Seriously, can anyone even read that? How many strokes is it? I can't count. I'm actually hoping the
wonderful and satisfying book I have doesn't end up covering it. It seems like it would be a nightmare to write even if you have it memorized.
If anyone has any kanji, or any glyphs from any language whatsoever to complain about, please comment
Also I have 2 pieces of pumpkin pie left in the refrigerator, and one pie in the freezer. Other than that it has all been eaten, mostly by me.
