Hello:

Some random thoughts about media I enjoy and fandom in general.

Things I like: Lost In Space, Land of the Giants, Kolchak the Night Stalker, The Tomorrow People, Doctor Who (but not the Moffat era or Matt Smith's Doctor, much), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Time Tunnel, Lost Girl, and much, much more. I enjoy reading about history, especially things not upfront in our collective thoughts about history (such as the Battle of Athens in the US and history about other countries). I miss the days of library research and feel the internet is great but lacks the depth of library book hunting.

In anime and manga, there's probably too much to list but I'll try. My first dabs of anime would have to be Gigantor and I must say I liked it but wasn't as interested in it as I am interested in the anime now. Galaxy Express came into the US in the late 70s and I was amazed. I also saw a few OVAs such as Devil Man and Yoma and thought these were amazing. Currently, I enjoy Kyo Kara Maoh but oddly enough, I became used to the dubbed actors and enjoyed those more than season 3, which is not dubbed. In fact I found season 3 not much to my liking due to the plots being sometimes overly silly and/or overly sad.
