The Continuing Chronicles of the Ideal Woman: "Sundome" Vol. 2

Just finished reading the second volume of Sundome. Basically, if you liked the first one, you'll dig this one too. Like most manga romances (even in this rather ... unusual form), the narrative doesn't exactly progress by leaps and bounds, but instead develops gradually through variations on its themes. Some of Kurumi's tactics this time include telling Hideo she's a post-op transsexual (!), ostensibly to discourage him from masturbating over her so much, but of course it's really just to frak with his head. When that doesn't work (Hideo is freaked out, but decides he loves her regardless and keeps fapping over her anyway), she simply forbids him to jack off without her permission, which isn't often forthcoming. Hilarity -- or heady eroticism, depending on your personal perversions -- ensues.
There is some subtle development: continuing signs that Kurumi may have health and other personal issues, and gradually increasing affection and closeness between her and Hideo. But mostly it's just more of Kurumi dangling Hideo from her teasing fingertips, which is more than enough for me.
