Summer's upon us, and when it comes to anime-related items, there's a couple of things that will keep me busy. The first, of course, is the two big anime conventions of the year, Anime Expo (which I follow online) and Otakon (which I'll be attending for my tenth year this year). The other involves anime figures, be it those that I may see at Otakon, those that I've pre-ordered, or those that are on sale on an online store or eBay. The figures mentioned in this post is an example of the third case....

It's been a while since a while since I've done a blog post about an anime-related item that arrived in the mail (although I did mention my purchases from my trip to Katsucon last month). Luckily, that drought is coming to end with the following post.

Katsucon 16 Report

Sorry for the delay. That can be blamed on a combination of me doing a similar report for another anime site that I visit regularly, me getting back to my regular work schedule after missing a week due to snow, and me currently having a cold (a typical side effect of attending a convention). End of 2009 Figurine Blowout Part 2

The second part of my December 2009 pre-orders from HobbyLink Japan arrived in the mail today in the form of two boxes, each one containing a different figurine that I've pre-ordered.

End of 2009 Figurine Blowout Part 1

At long last, all the December pre-orders that I had made on HobbyLink Japan are finally shipping. Today, the first of three shipments arrived in the mail today. In this first shipment, I received a figurine on Rei (from Neon Genesis Evangelion) in a dark cherry "racing queen" outfit.
