Sorry about this report being late. Part of it can be contributed to the facts that I have two other reports to do concerning the con, a couple of projects involving videos games (including one that I've started to play after Katsucon), and work. However, it's finally complete. So, without further ado, here's my report on Katsucon 17.

Katsucon won’t be starting for another few days. However, that doesn’t mean the convention can’t begin to screw things up big time in the form of something that has been a problem for me in Katsucons past: the policy when it comes to bags in the Dealers’ Room.

Magfest 9

On Martin Luther King Day weekend, I attended my first convention of the year in the form of Magfest, a video game convention in Alexandria, Virginia. The following is my commentary about the con.

-Note to Magfest: next year, make sure there’s more people working badge pick-up for the regular people, as it took two hours for most people (including me) to pick up their badge (whereas Otakon pretty much eliminated the wait time to pick up a badge via using barcodes at its pre-reg booths...

Anime USA 2010 Report

Last weekend, I went to Anime USA, which is usually the final anime convention that I attend each year. The following is some of my comments about this year's Anime USA.

-One running bit that I did during this convention was the idea of referring to Totoro as Cthulhu whenever I see a Totoro and vice versa. The whole thing is a reference to a very recent South Park three-parter in which BP drilling results in Cthulhu being unearthed, with Cartman, as his superhero alter-ego the Coon,...

Otakon 2010 Report

Last weekend was Otakon weekend in Batlimore, and, for the 10th year in a row, I attended the convention. After having some time to recover from the convention, write reports for another web site, and return to work, here's my report on Otakon 2010:
