Today, the second of the two anime figurine pre-orders that I had planned for the summer arrived at my house today. This time, the order consisted of the Beach Queens versions of Konata and Kagami from Lucky Star.

Otakon 2010 Report

Last weekend was Otakon weekend in Batlimore, and, for the 10th year in a row, I attended the convention. After having some time to recover from the convention, write reports for another web site, and return to work, here's my report on Otakon 2010:

-Outside of the mess when it first started, I felt the "bar code" system way of handling pre-reg was a very great idea for Otakon to utilize. By the time the line started moving, the "bar code" line that was wrapping...

Some time ago, I mentioned that summer may be a busy period when it comes to figurine collecting, what with Otakon, possible sales, and the usual pre-orders. Today, my first pre-order of the summer arrived in the mail.

The figurine in question is the Alter figurine of Azusa from K-On! As you can see by the picture below, I've taken advantage of the "cat ears" hairstyle that came with the figure.

Summer's upon us, and when it comes to anime-related items, there's a couple of things that will keep me busy. The first, of course, is the two big anime conventions of the year, Anime Expo (which I follow online) and Otakon (which I'll be attending for my tenth year this year). The other involves anime figures, be it those that I may see at Otakon, those that I've pre-ordered, or those that are on sale on an online store or eBay. Katsucon 16 Report

Sorry for the delay. That can be blamed on a combination of me doing a similar report for another anime site that I visit regularly, me getting back to my regular work schedule after missing a week due to snow, and me currently having a cold (a typical side effect of attending a convention).
