A discussion of things anime and things non-anime. That covers a lot of ground. Say, you cover a lot of ground yourself.

Freshly whipped heavy cream...

A homemade sweet biscuit...

Fresh local berries...

Gentlemen and ladies, I present: Strawberry shortcake.

Please don't lick the screen. It's unseemly.

I didn't complain when the major ice cream manufacturers went from half-gallon containers to 1.75 quart containers because there was an improvement in the container quality.

But now, all of a sudden, they're shrinking from 1.75 quarts to 1.5 quarts? 25% less than a decade ago?

Screw Breyers. Screw Dreyer's. It's store brands or homemade for me from now on.

Since I can't afford to eat out every meal, I do cook for myself most of the time. And sometimes, I want to eat nice.

This is French roasted chicken, roasted asparagus, black 'forbidden' rice, and French onion soup.

Took a lot of time and effort, but quite tasty (and lots of leftovers.)

Just about every city in the US has a local-favorite hamburger stand.

In the Olympia area, that place is Eagan's. They sell hamburgers. That's what they do.

Probably the most popular item on the menu is the Big Tom burger: Double meat, double cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, and "goop" (a sort of mustard/mayonnaise sauce) on a toasted bun. But a simple listing of ingredients does not convey the carnal bliss that this sandwich provides.
