They might never face each other on a racetrack for the rest of their lives, but Rachel Alexandra did score a major victory over Zenyatta last night in their first head-to-head competition: she edged out the supermare as Horse of the Year in the 39th annual Eclipse Awards at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
