Guiding Light Signs Off After 72 Years

The longest-running drama in television history is coming to an end. CBS announced that they are cancelling the soap opera Guiding Light, claming the economy and the changing of viewers' habits as the core reasons. The daytime drama's final episode will air on September 18.
