I made an order over at HobbyLink Japan last week and it arrived today... Too bad I wasn't home to accept it, so I'll have to head over to the post office to pick it up tomorrow. Anyway, I checked out the website today and saw that they were having a CM's sale, and I had purchased an item that CM's released that wasn't on sale when I had bought it. PC Gamer Demo Discs Give Me Memories

I was looking through my drawer next to my computer, where I keep all of my PC game discs, and I decided to take my demo discs and catalogue them, that way I know what demos I actually have on hand... Partially for the fun of it.

Anyway, I started off with the PC Gamer demo discs since my brother and I accumulated a bunch of them (we actually have the magazine's second demo disc, which just makes me wish we had the first). Looking at all of the demos on them, it just made me realize...

Meet the new blog... Same as the old blog

This has been an idea I've had for a few months, and now I've decided to finally do it: I've decided to expand beyond the AoD blogs and try out my own seperate blog! The name is the same, The Land of Obscusion, but it will be a little different from what I've done with this original blog. The biggest difference will be that the new blog will focus solely on anime & manga, with maybe only a mention of something else only if it ties into anime & manga.

I review Masked Rider: Kamen Rider ZO for Sega-16.com!

For those who don't know, there was a Kamen Rider game made for the Sega CD based on the Kamen Rider ZO movie made in 1993. In fact, the game was simply a FMV title using the movie footage. Seeing that Sega-16.com, a very good and fairly comprehensive Sega Genesis review site, didn't have a review for this game I decided to write one up myself and send it to them, since they gladly accept unsolicited reviews for games that haven't been reviewed yet.

9-Pin Connector Video Game Controllers Are Just Amazing!

Did you know that Atari 2600 controllers used 9-Pin connectors? Did you also know that the very same connectors were used for the Atari 7800 so that it could be backwards compatible with the Atari 2600, even in terms of controllers? That makes perfect sense.

But the ColecoVision also used 9-Pin connectors... As did the Sega Master System and Genesis... And the cool thing is that they all seem to be 100% compatible with each other! It's just amazing that Atari, Coleco, and Sega...
