Limiting myself this season to three one-cour shows in order to open up more room for Spring is going to end up having been a good idea. ^^;

On the first volume, the bonus features include the artbox, and a special booklet for the LE and staff commentary for the episodes.

Three (probably) artboxes? Oh hell yes. I was thinking there was just going to be one, but apparently I skipped reading an entire line when I looked at this the other day. Multiple artboxes also makes it much, much less likely that this show gets K-on'ed with BS artboxes. The anime designs are great, but I'm really hoping the boxes are 100% Kishida Mel art.

I'll almost definitely be importing this. Though there's still several shows I have to see that look like they have a shot at being import-level shows....

There's still a looooot of episodes left for it to self destruct, but after the two so far it's easily in the import range for me as well[*], should it keep up the quality. And very much agreed about triple Kishida artboxes - want badly.

[*] It's kind of bad that I have two almost certain imports after only trying 5 shows in a season where I'll be trying over 20. And the other three I tried are all at least potentially import-worthy as well.

It's never too late for a show to go to hell, but I'm less worried about that for a show like this, that is not plot-focused and does not, so far, look like it will even have much in the way of romance. So the two things that can most easily be screwed up aren't there.

Well, I was going to tell you that I could probably safely say that there's no risk of you feeling that way of any of the shows that are out so far that you haven't gotten around to watching yet.... then I realized you haven't watched Dog Days yet. Which seems like it has a decent chance of at least ending up in your "potential" pile.

According to the official listing, the cover art (for the first volume at least) is by Sekiguchi Kanami and the artbox will be drawn by Kishida Mel.

I've already pre-ordered the entire set and the second episode only reinforced my decision. Unless the show does something absolutely drastic in the next 24 episodes, it'll be one of my favorite shows and easily an import.

I did start with my most anticipated, yes. I doubt I'll be importing, for example, Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi, Ao no Exorcist or Sket Dance, even though I plan to try them.

Of the remaining titles (not all of which have aired yet), the biggest contenders are Denpa Onna, Hidan no Aria, and maybe one of the noitaminA titles. Not that I know anything of substance about any of them yet.

Denpa Onna, Hidan no Aria, AnoHana, and maybe C [Money, something or another] are the ones that I think might have a shot of being good enough to import. But that's based pretty entirely on the pictures in the preview guides (plus light novel covers for Denpa Onna) and the studios or staff involved, as I try to avoid knowing anything about them. I know nothing about the stories for any of them either (other than hearing Hidan no Aria described as "Shana with guns" which doesn't really tell me much at all).
