Seems like it's not just two cour, but also a 26 episode series at least. As opposed to only being 24 episodes.

Still I'm sure I can hear someone thinking 'Why can't this be nine instead of thirteen?"

Can anyone tell if that's 7,180 yen with discount or if that's the actual price?

Though seeing as hissatsu just mentioned Kadokawa.. uhh.

That's the list price. (Edit: No, that's with the discount, 7980 list. Now that's more reasonable.)

Still, Japanese fans are pleased with these prices. For example, from that page:

Edit: There are of course those that have noticed it's even cheaper than GOSICK.

I assume you missed the first two episodes? I mean.. the production values were amazing, I can't say anything for episode 3 as I have not seen it.

That little sausage was intense. These aren't low production values. Also 7,000 for Kadokawa, which I believe they often price up at the 9,000 range, is rather great. Doesn't seem to be any "trolling" going on here.

I saw Episode 0, and I wasn't all that impressed visually. Also, is there anything Kadokawa does that you wouldn't approve of? As I recall, you were also in favor of how Kadokawa made a train wreck of Haruhi season 2...

Episode 0 is totally different compared to episode 1 and 2.

I'm also surprised you remembered that post, as I didn't. Yeah I liked Endless Eight, not much of a big deal it was fun to see all the differences. Though just because I like that doesn't mean I approve of everything Kadokawa. I don't know if I like Steins;Gate, I'm very against their pricing of Gosick even if I enjoy the series from what I've seen and I'm not really sure what properties they own to be quite honest.

You're basing my.. unfounded love for Kadokawa on my liking for Endless Eight. I'm pretty sure a good amount of people like Endless Eight too.

A lot of people liked E8, actually, if sales are anything to go by. And given how much the BD boxset sold, any grudge from the rest has been forgiven. As for myself, I didn't like it, but Disappearance more than made up for it.

I didn't watch episode 0, but the TV series is anything but "low" production values.

Its actually pretty over-animated for what it is.
