I would have hope for a BD for this... I don't know if I'll get this now...

This is great news. I will definitely be buying this when it is released.

I'll be checking it out on CR, but too soon to say if I want it yet. Looks like it could be good...

Out of all their recent licenses, this has to be one of the few that gets a sub-only DVD-only release? What the hell? Well there goes the guarantee that I'll be getting it, but if I like it as much as Toradora! and Ano Hana, I will even in this form.

Sounds like an interesting show. I will be checking this out on CR to see if I like it. I especially like the close resemblance to the Please Teacher characters in the designs.

A Madman Ent. (not solicited yet) DVD complete collection cover art has surfaced: http://cdn.madman.com.au/images/slic...ge/mma4431.png
It's looking like we may see Sentai Filmworks solicit this release soon (maybe as soon as December). |
Re: Sentai Filmworks licenses Waiting in the Summer (Ano Natsu de Matteru)
I don't like Sentai anymore. They're just snatching up everything right and left and DVD'ing it up, or if on Blu-ray, more barebone than what I would feed the dog that I don't have.
NIS America is the only company that releases stuff the way I want it (Lain from Funi might be an exception), but how are they supposed to license anything when Sentai keeps popping up? I had high hopes that either this, Tari Tari or Kokoro Connect could get a NIS America release, but no chance. Kinda made sense that they licensed Umineko, because what's left? Ok, I know there's still unlicensed stuff out there that we'd all like to see licensed, but I think NIS America wants newer shows first and foremost. |

Without going too much more off topic...
You have to understand that NIS America is still primarily a video game company. They are slowly increasing their anime releases every year. This is the smart business approach. |
