Aniplex of America to Release Oreimo, Garden of Sinners on DVD

Aniplex of America announced at its panel at Sakura-Con on Friday that it is rereleasing The Garden of Sinners and Oreimo anime on DVD. The company originally released ufotable's The Garden of Sinners movie series in an English-subtitled Blu-ray Disc box in North America in February 2011. Aniplex of America noted that it sold out of its initial Blu-ray box release.

Aniplex originally released a limited-edition DVD box set for the Oreimo television anime series in October 2011. The release included all 12 television episodes plus four video episodes with English subtitles. Aniplex noted that the original limited-edition DVD boxset had sold out, and that the new release will be on regular-edition DVD. Aniplex will announce more details about both rereleases soon.

awesome

I missed out on Oreimo the first time, so I'll be sure to get it. (especially with S2 being recently announced and hopefully licensed as well in the future)

Also gonna have to get the Garden of Sinners set as well, despite already owing the French import release.

Potentially good news. It sucks that they are only going to rerelease Sinners on DVD. I'd love to have it on Bluray, but at a more reasonable price. I'm hoping that maybe there is some miscommunication going on and there will be a cheaper Bluray release. If not I don't really mind getting DVD, but it'll again depend on the price.

I enjoyed Oreimo when I streamed it, but not enough to plunk down cash on the LE. So I may pick up this RE(?) edition. Though Sinners is the bigger priority.

Also this gives me hope for an RE Fate/Zero release.

It's great news that these titles are now getting their standard releases considering how pricey their LEs were. But since no BD is coming that I'm passing.

Damn, I'd gladly buy Oreimo again if it was on BD, though I might still get Garden of Sinners even though it's only DVD to at least own it in some form.

I really doubt a cheaper BD release will happen, it would be spitting in the face of the people who bought the expensive BD-BOX collectors set... that and Japanese companies really mean limited edition when they say it.

Early adopters pay more. There's prob a few people in Japan who didn't buy it yet either I bet.

Not interested in a DVD version. I'm waiting for a BD re-release.
