Episode 1
 

This one had me literally glued to the screen.
From a relaxing summer to an all out war.
Damn, it was pretty intense.
Will be watching it for sure.

Episode 1:

- Wasn't protagonist boy's hair Eureka green in the promo materials?
- Naru is adorable. But her seiyuu sounds rather inexperienced... ::checks:: ...because she is. Well, maybe she'll get the hang of it. Voice is cute enough.
- Stuff is happening. Not sure how much of it I should remember from the first show. Most what I remember about E7 is "Eureka is cute" and "Anemone is awesome".

No real opinion on this yet, but it has potential.

Episode 2

So Ao got his chance with the FP.
That mecha was pretty cool looking.
I liked the transformations, but being thrown in battle without any exp totally sucked for him and it really showed.
It was pure luck he beat that thing.
Great episode!

Episode 3
 

Ao's rebellion against his past.
Those people really are monsters. Turning on Ao so fast.
Ignorance sure brings out fear and stupidity.
The history lesson was interesting though.
The new G-monster was huge, but Ao was also determined ^^

Eureka Seven is back! After Last Exile, I'm keeping my expectations low, but at least this seems like a more promising start than that had. I do like Eureka Seven a lot more, anyway. Like Last Exile, it's at least nice to see them keep some signature elements consistent with the original: The A-Part/B-Part eyecatches, the "To Be Continued", the entire visual style, etc. So it looks like Ao's hair will be turning to Eureka's hair color in the next episode. I was confused about that. Well, on to that episode!

One "Eureka" message is all it takes to turn his hair blue. And it says "welcome home". Isn't that nice? Is that Eureka herself I see in the next episode preview? That could be nice. In the meantime, Ao gets his own version of the Nirvash, and it's just as awesome.

So it looks like this story is set up some time way after the events of Eureka 7, and a freak accident causes the Scub Corals to destroy Okinawa. The first episode in this season does a much better job introducing the characters and the setting than the original season (then again, even though Eureka 7 is a great show, the first episode was one of the worst I ever watched as far as first episodes go). Instead of escaping a boring life, Ao is caught in the middle of an uprising and that sets up things better than the original season did.

So it turns out that the bracelet is something is supposed to belong to Ao, and it lets him pilot the Nirvash while turning his hair blue. And then he meets up with Generation Bleu after somehow piloting that thing to defeat the G-Monster. And just like in Eureka 7, Ao is getting ready to embark on a journey. With the way the episode ended, that leaves us with lots of questions about, well, everything.

Episode 4
 

Ao learning contols of his new mecha.
He doesn't quite know what he's doing yet.
Destroying that g-monster was really impressive with his level of skills.
Ao was lucky that guy picked him up and took him to safety.
