So they are going back to Lupin, this time a more recent series, it will probably work better for them. (I mean as a home video release)

I'm still undecided on Lupin/Fujiko. I might import the BD box. I might just get Funi's BD version. I won't double-dip.

I liked this way more than I expected too, never being a fan of the old stuff. And visually quite stunning at times. Will definitely jump on this.

For the people who finished this, is it still a good series to watch even if I the only thing I watched related to Lupin was Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro?

The Castle of Cagliostro is completely different to Fujiko. While Cagliostro was kinda family friendly, Fujiko is a raunchy series. It's mostly focused on Fujiko and kinda artfully sexing her up, to the point where some of the Lupin cast acts out of character when compared to every other Lupin property.

In my opinion this series is a waste of time. It just felt like "how could we sex up Fujiko this week" and it got a little ridiculous later on in the series, especially in it's attempt to be messed up and dark. I couldn't really take it seriously.

I suggest you check it out on streaming first. Maybe an episode or two.

This pretty much confirms for a US BD release and a better time frame of when FUNimation could release theirs...
