They also said that they got ef - a tale of melodies as well. Their memories release is DVD only but will contain the short prologue. Only Bodacious Space Pirates will get a BD, IIRC.

It's fantastic that more people will be able to watch an awesome series.... Mouretsu Pirates! ef is a great license too.

Hmm Hanabee have a strong selection of quality titles now, including those previously announced. It will be interesting to see what they do with them – and when?!

The question was (at least to me), was if they only acquired the first season and if it proved popular would license the second season, or if they just acquired both seasons (Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge). Out of curiosity, I got into contact with the team at Hanabee and can happily confirm they have the rights to release both seasons...
