I think that I've seen that cover before... ^_^

Well, this works really well for the series.

Re: Fate/stay night: Complete Collection 1 (Blu-ray)
Oh man, I can already see the drastic inferiority in just the character designs, compared to Fate/Zero. Well I loved Saber, and little Rin was loads of fun in her one episode, so without much more to base it on, I'm alright with this cover for the most part.

Re: Fate/stay night: Complete Collection 1 (Blu-ray)
F/SN (the anime) is utterly boring, I dropped it after episode 1 and with much pushing by the fans, I read the VN. Holy cow, reading text + still images + audio is much better than DEEN's butchering of the series. Still, I'd get this just to see how much of it was altered and would wait for a complete set (none of that $89.99/no extras crap Sentai)

Nothing wrong with using that cover. It looks great and it suits the show very nicely.

Collection 1?....no thanks. I'll be waiting for a complete collection. I already own the DVD so I'm not in any hurry to get this

And I wouldn't call it a butchering, so much as a typical Deen half-ass adaptation with typical forced Deen merging of routes (still Saber's route as a whole, but they toss in poorly done pieces of UBW and HF). |
Re: Fate/stay night: Complete Collection 1 (Blu-ray)
I wouldn't call the Fate/stay night anime unwatchable. It's definitely nowhere near as good as the visual novel, but it's still worth a watch if you're interested in the series.
Though if you watch Fate/zero then watch the Fate/stay night anime then you're in for a reeeeal big surprise at the drop in quality from the writing to the animation. I'd recommend Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works though. Sure, it rushes the route and isn't perfect by any means, but it's way better than Fate/stay night. And Shiro isn't stupid in Unlimited Blade Works, nor is he in the visual novel. |
