It's simple and effective. These episodes are about Ichigo and Rukia, so this cover fits.

The back is just what I would expect from them. Nothing but text.

In reality, I don't think we could expect anything to change in terms of the design. And yes, I do believe it works for the first few episodes and I think it'll match the format they went with for the next sets of episodes like the current releases. I have the original box set and I fell in love with the white background the used for it :).
