I've been meaning to see this for a long time, so it's great to see it become readily available again. I'm glad I'll finally have something to buy from Discotek.

It's great that people like you will have access again to this series.

Another solid pickup by Discotek here, and it's a show that I have been meaning to watch, but I keep forgetting about it.

Kinda disappointed with how toned down this show was from the manga. No surprise, really. The manga can be unbelievably offensive at times (which is what makes it so funny). This TV series also ended before they even got to some of the best parts (e.g. Onizuka's 1-vs-100 marathon life-or-death arm-wrestling competition against an entire gang).

I hope you won't forget about it this time.

I thought about getting the manga and for some reason didn't invest in it... now maybe I should...

We did a comparison on the GTO R2 DVDs and they look exactly the same as the Tokyo Pop ones. Looks like the title wasn't remastered in Japan yet. Maybe we can clean it up some.

Well, except for the stupid localization crap TokyoPop did like superimposing their own silly episode titles over the (already English) original ones and other annoying little things like that.

I watched them so long ago... Back when things like localization was not something that bothers me (2006, first year I bought animes) I wonder how I would react to it today. I guess I would not be able to watch the show.
