Released, ordered or received in December, what counts?

For sure Tari Tari 4 BD. Shinsekai Yori was released November 30th but got here with Tari Tari 4. BTOOOM 1 and Kokoro Connect Hito Random 2 as well. I had preordered Dusk Maiden of Amnesia 6 earlier so it squeaked in during November.

Orders still to arrive for December, later ones probably won't arrive until January given the holidays:
Shinsekai Yori 2
Kokoro Connect Kizu Random 1
BTOOOM 2
Girls Und Panzer 1
Tonari no Kaibutsu kun 2
Sukitte ii na yo 1

I have put in many preorders for discs coming in the new year too this month. Yes, I'm addicted...

For me it is, what was shipped in December even if I ended getting it in January. (shipped and released is the same for me since I do a monthly order)

Wow, just a monthly order. I wish I was that organized... I order books too which makes it tough as some books don't show up until less than a month before they come out, some even less and if I don't pre-order I sometimes miss things and have to hope for a reprint. I do 3-4 orders per month usually as I forget stuff... Lately I have done even more. DHL loooooves me...

Do you live in Japan or outside of it? I assume outside since you mentioned DHL. When Amazon took away cheaper shipping options, and later order combining as well as virtually eliminated partial shipping, monthly orders became the only good way to go for most importers. Paying the ¥1700/order fee 3-4 times a month just isn't feasible (or even if it is, still not desirable) for a lot of people. Plus one big order has a better ¥/item S&H fee since it scales down as you order more and spread out that ¥1700 fee (or worse if you order even one book, ¥2700).

I tend to order once, in the last few days of the prior month. I get anywhere between 10 and 20 items (as much as 30+ in rare cases) coming out that month. Almost all BDs and CDs. It does kinda suck having to wait until the end of the month to receive items released early in the month, but most items I order come out in the last 10 days of the month anyway.

I am outside Japan. Guess I need to edit my profile. Ontario, Canada, west of Toronto.

My rule is never pay more for shipping than products LOL Though I goofed this week and ordered a single book with ¥3000 shipping, oops. But it is a great book... And I missed the first printing already so I couldn't afford to wait in case it went out of print again. I was simply dying to know what happens...

Guess I should be more discerning but I hate to wait so a shipment a week is sometimes insufficient for me for books or discs I haven't read or seen yet since I am 100% legit. I will not read or watch rips, scans, etc. I enjoy getting a shipment the day after release 13000km away but I certainly pay for it...

Ah ok, I always liked getting stuff ASAP too, back when Amazon partial shipped, but since CDs are the only thing I import and then actually use, I just wait the extra couple days (or weeks depending on release date). Everything else I just import for purposes of supporting my favorite shows (I would never ever blind import a show) and looking pretty on my shelf.
