Nobody's Boy, english dub
 

I've been trying to track down this movie with no luck but have discovered there are two versions. The character designs are pretty similiar.

All I can go by is a feint memory of old man dying, monkey dying, maybe dog died too. I don't know about the dog dying but it was that kind of story...

Anyway I also remember Remi the lead character sings a song with the lyrics "nobody's boy, nobody's boy..." while playing his harp. That's all I remember.


1970 version:

That's the 1980 version but in episode form. Episodes from this series were re-edited into a movie.

The character designs of both versions look too similiar for me to base it on pictures especially since my memory of it is late 1980's old.

I guess I'm asking if anyone who's seen either one remembers if there's a song Remi sings that goes "Nobody's boy, nobody's boy..." cause that would be the one I saw. Thanks.

I remember what movie you are talking about, and yes I remember the song. Goes something like this:

Nobody's Boy
Nobody's Joy
No one to care for I wanted to share?

(obviously these are the words I can "remember" from when I was a young child watching this)

My family has the video on betamax in our condo overseas, my sisters and I watched it so many many times, practically memorized the movie... However I'm trying my best to find the movie on DVD since the betamax is thousands of miles away.. I've been looking for years and I feel like I'm getting closer each time.. Have you had any luck??? Again, I want the English Dubbed movie version. Let me know.

Hi guys!

I have some great news! I have the 1985 English dubbed, and rare version of the Remi story titled "Nobody's Boy". It took me over a year to get that movie. The dog that dies is a huge fluffy sheep dog in this movie. I would post a pic but the movie is in my storage. I'm going to have it tranferred to a DVD since it's a VHS from England and I can't watch it here. If anyone wants is interested i might now someone else who has a copy and doesn't want it :) Email me

Hi - I'm a new member. Had the VHS dubbed english version (sheep dog I remember!!). Loved the movie as did my children. I lost the movie a few years back in a house move and would be delighted to get my hands on a copy...............to watch with my grandchildren in sunny Scotland. REGARDS George:):)
