As usual, please try to follow these three easy forum courtesy habits when replying:
1) If you're the first person to post about an episode in any given week, please respond to the root post (this post) and indicate in the subject line which episode you're posting about.
2) If someone has already posted about an episode before you, please respond to that post (or a relevant reply to that post). Keep in the right subthread.
3) Don't use the blue "Post Reply" button because it causes your reply not to correctly inherit the subject line of the post you're replying to. Just click "Quote" to the post you want to reply to.

Episode 1

If nothing else, I have a definite liking for Lucy. The red dress definitely works. Beyond that I'd have to think about it.

Although I have to ask. Just how many times did they say "Fairy Tail" in the first episode?

Lucy = LOVE. Lucy voiced by Aya Hirano = SEX.

I haven't watched episode 1 yet but I thought she sounded very good in the trailer.

I always thought she would do fine in this role, I was lol'ing @ the blind hate Hirano caused being casted for this, ffs you would think Lucy was a demanding role like Beatrice from Umineko the way some people were acting. Speaking of Beatrice can't wait to hear her VA in Ohara voice my fav character from Fairy Tail in Erza.

I happen to have a script on hand, so let me answer that...

25.

By the way, that fansubbed preview has a glaring translation error in the subtitles.

"I'm searching for someone who can use gate keys" is completely wrong.
"Open, Gate to the Treasure Vase Palace"?
For peat's sake people, 95% of the lines were straight out of the manga, you could have at least looked them up even without a script. And I bet a lot of people will think they're better because they use "mage" instead of "wizard". (Note: the author himself wants "wizard").

Sadly, most people are under the false impression that the fansub translation is always better. Simply because it's the first translation they read. I could go into a host of reasons for this, but I will stop here.

I like how Hirano uses some of her range in the preview.

Also, the ED is absolutely adorable.

The good news here is that it probably WON'T be the first translation they read this time... The first "subs" will of course be rips from crunchyroll, and those will be the ones propagated to all the illegal sites.

P.S. I'm following all the conventions from the Del Rey manga version for somewhat obvious reasons, although there are some differences (and the translation is completely from scratch. I purposefully have not read the english manga until after I finish translating the episode to avoid sub-conscious plagiarism).

Oh, also some info: Opening and Ending song translations are submitted for approval, but that might take a bit (not more than 1-2 weeks i hope)

That's true, CR rips will be out quick.. if not already .. cough... fansub groups can't compete with that.
