Re: Vote for the Best DVD Release of May 2009

Plenty of good choices this month, but ultimately, the win will go to:

Clannad Collection 2

Thank you, Sentai/ADV for releasing this, and thank you for picking up After Story - a title I am...

Re: New This Week: Releases for the Week of September 1, 2009

Nothing for me this week. I already own everything listed except for Freedom - which if I do pick up it will be on Blu-Ray, and Kaze no Stigma. I will rent Stigma, then decide if I want to buy or not.

Re: Bandai Entertainment New Title Solicitations (Nov 09)

With the sour taste from the whole Code Geass R2 mess still in my mouth, I will likely get nothing. I have bought Gundam in singles in the past, but I might hold off on 00, especially if it will get...

Re: Vote for the Best DVD Release of April 2009

That was essentially a re-release, wasn't it? I think that all of the content had been released on single DVDs.

Hmm... Tweeny or Tutu(e), with a slight chance of Moribito... Or not? Looking at...

Re: Ghibli Re-releases Forthcoming?

It's a buy either way, but I too hope for a Blu-Ray release!

Re: New This Week: Releases for the Week of August 18, 2009

Already received:
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 Part 1 (regular edition) - if this new 4 part release ends up being 8 discs, I am going to be so irritated! (Part 1 is 7 episodes on 2...

Re: New This Week: Releases for the Week of August 4, 2009

I already own all 3 season of Slayers and the 2 previous Sentai Mahoromatic collections, and I am waiting on the 3rd Moribito collection in October. Therefore, for me:

Fullmetal Alchemist Premium...

Re: Media Blasters New Title Solicitations (Oct 09)

Looks like October will be a big M-B month for me:

Genshiken 2, Vol.2

Magic Knight Rayearth: Season 1 Collection (Litebox / Remastered) - as long as its remastered, I'll happily double-dip! Now if...

Re: D-Gray Man English Dub

Thanks for responding, and I am in no way saying this ruins the show for me, just that my familiarity with the term made it a bit jarring to me. As a dub fan, I know all too well that choices must...

Re: Your Favorite Veronica Taylor Roles

While there are many terrific performances here, I had to go with Amelia from Slayers - who else could do this over the top style? I am SOO happy Funi brought her in for the upcoming new seasons!

Re: D-Gray Man English Dub

I've just started watching the series, and for the most part I think the dub is solid. But there is one issue that I found rather frustrating, and frankly I am surprised no one has brought it up -...

Re: Ghost Hound licensed by ADV/Sentai Filmworks?

This is purely speculation, but this is my opinion on the reasons for Sentai: Sojitz nearly sunk ADV with their pullout, but they still own a portion of ADV. By splitting off from ADV, they can...

Re: Viz Media Grabs New Inu Yasha, Kekkaishi, Vampire Knight

My guess is the second season will depend entirely on how well season 1 sells of Vampire Knight. If it sells as well as the manga it won't be an issue. It will also be interesting to see if Cartoon...

Re: FUNimation will release all 3 versions of "Evangelion: You Are (Not) Alone"

I'll rent the DVD, then buy the Blu-ray. I'd have liked to see it in a theater, though. I guess Minneapolis isn't big time enough for it to come to a theater here.

Now the image is some guy with a cowlick - almost like Alfalfa from the Little Rascals (if any of you young'uns are even familiar with the Little Rascals! Sorry, dating myself again!)

Re: Evangelion 1.01 and 1.11 Release News

Re: Aquarion, help me set my expectations. (spoilers)

Overall, the show is OK, but considering that it was coming from Kawamori with music from Yoko Kanno, I ended up being disappointed. Disappointed, but I don't feel I was ripped off - I was OK overall...

Re: Kodocha vs. Sasami Magical Girl Club

Kodocha all the way. Sasami Magical Girl Club, in my opinion, was the weakest of the Tenchi shows - although it really had little to do with the rest of the Tenchi universe - Sasami barely resembles...

Re: Escaflowne Movie Goes Blu-ray

The fastest way to get me to double-dip on classics like this is to offer it on Blu-Ray! This will be a must buy for me!
