Re: [JP] 5 Centimeters Per Second / Voices of a Distant Star [EngSub] [EngDub] BD

No... I think the JP release is an early release for the JP market... later on this very same encode will be release abroad and so you can buy it cheaper then... that way when this does come out in...

Re: [JP] 5 Centimeters Per Second / Voices of a Distant Star [EngSub] [EngDub] BD

This really doesn't make any sense. You can't even blame "reverse-importation fears" this release is suppose to encourage importation. So dumb.

Re: [US][UK][AUS] Redline

They totally just updated that to say True HD, because it did not say that when it was originally posted. That's great news if true though, I'm more interested in First Squad though, since my JP...

Re: [US] First Squad - The Moment of Truth

WTK you sure about the Russian track? Blu-ray.com just says Eng 5.1 True HD and JP 2.0 lossy. I'm pretty bummed about the 2.0 JP track but if there was a lossless Russian track I'd be a little more...

Re: [US][UK][AUS] Redline

Makes me feel a lot better about my JP RE purchase. Definite pass on this, so glad the JP version had subs, the audio track on the JP version was mind blowing.

It's still 27% though...

Re: [US] Guilty Crown

hahaha I new you'd be the first to disagree with me. Don't get me wrong both series are awesome, I just prefer CG. MF has better music and still needs to be licenced though.

Re: [US] Guilty Crown

This is great news, and my most anticipated in a while (Since AnoHana) but I'm surprised they're not mentioning Hiroyuki Yoshino involvement with Code Geass, since Macross F never came out here and...

Re: NYAF @ NYCC 2011 Discussion Thread

I still think that the amount of Japanese text is part of the reason we haven't seen Bakemonogatari in the US yet. I'm usually very opposed to companies messing with the picture when it comes to...

Re: [JP] Bakemonogatari Blu-ray BOX

Yeah that would definitely kill chances of an Import friendly release from Aniplex, but that price is sure a lot cheaper than buying the 6 volumes separately. Still I feel it's only of matter of...

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Cowboy Bebop

Is pretty much it for me, I still need to buy Kanon though.

Re: Eden of the East Movie 2: Paradise Lost (Blu-ray / DVD Combo)

They're doing that because the slipcovers don't always stay with the product, either people take them or they eventually stop shipping with them, and they want to let customers know their is a...

Re: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (Blu-ray / DVD Combo)

Yupp that's the version I bought, I love the art they used for the JP Reg version. I also picked up the HK version, which also comes in a BD case and uses the JP LE artwork and has ENG subs, so I'm...

Re: The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya (Blu-ray / DVD Combo)

I'd say the whole series is really required to truly enjoy the film (Yes even Endless Eight). It's a true sequel to the TV series so why wouldn't it be. The film makes references to just about all...

Re: Rurouni Kenshin OVA: Trust & Betrayal (Blu-ray) (LE)

Love the packaging, and the fact that we still get my favorite picture as the interior cover. It does suck that it's DVD size and we loose some artwork but oh well, hopefully the actual quality will...

Re: [JP] Whisper of the Heart [Eng Sub][Eng Dub]

Why would people complain? The DVD looks like garbage, the BD actually has accurate coloring.

Re: Rurouni Kenshin OVA: Trust & Betrayal (Blu-ray) (LE)

Look at the latest picture. It's a DVD sized case. Digipack or not is irrelevant it's the size most of us are upset about, not only do you lose a 1/4 of the artwork but it doesn't fit in your...

Re: Rurouni Kenshin OVA: Trust & Betrayal (Blu-ray) (LE)

UGHHHH See that's why DVD sized cases suck, the artist drew it in an aspect ratio that would fit on a G2 Blu-ray sized set and now Aniplex has decided to release this in a DVD size case (like most of...

Re: [US] Angel Beats

Yeah seriously, I mean at least we get the OVA. That tiny short is really nothing to stop people from purchasing and anyone who is dissuaded from purchasing because of it's absent probably wasn't...

Re: Aniplex Ships Rurouni Kenshin OVA/Film BDs in Japan, U.S. on Same Day

Muhoot contacted Aniplex JP who informed him, that all 3 titles will be from HD Telecine masters. It wouldn't make sense to put an upscale on TV, who would want the BD if they put the full HD show...

Yeah that's exactly what I meant. Even though Tsuiokuhen is a pretty faithful adaptation of the manga it still is an extremely serious and somber series and the overall tone is very different from...
