Wherever you choose for the fireworks, I'd suggest to check the wind of the day on the net (here is one example (http://tenki.jp/amedas/pref-16.html?amedas_type=wind)). Smoke can mess up the view.

I may not understand your definition correctly but think these two shows have very different cast in anime and the original H game. "Popotan" is another example of a complete change.
