Re: Aniplex of America licenses Sword Art Online
Wow! I thought they'd price this one more at FUNimation prices and try to get it on Toonami and all that as well. As much as I despise the atrocity that is SAO, it seemed like it was popular enough...

Re: Episode 7
I never said it wasn't fun. Was just hoping to be able to take it seriously. At this point it's still enjoyable, but I had hoped the series would move in a different direction.

Re: Episode 7
As suspected, it becomes typical shonen shit. Eren is a Titan.. Oh.. Cool? I guess.

Re: [US] Haganai
Fun series but probably not something I would buy. But I'll gladly pay FUNimation if they make their streaming service not awful.
Also surprised that they didn't use an English version of the title.

Re: Episode 6
Mikasa is so Mary Sue. But still likable. At least for now. Her backstory was pretty well done.
Eren was less of an annoying bitch before in this flashback. Then he becomes an annoying bitch at the...

Re: Episode 5
Very pleasantly surprised with this series so far. And for some reason I love the way they draw the eyes. Especially Yukinon.

Re: Episode 5
Like that means anything.
The only difference is the magazine they run in targets a certain demographic, but just because it does, doesn't mean the entire reader base is that way. The demographics...

Re: Episode 5
He will 100% survive due to protagonist power. This series is shonen, not seinen.

Re: FREE!, Summer '13, Kyoto Animation
Will pass unless I hear great reviews. Tamako Market was mediocre at best. Not even worth a complete watch. But I am generally supportive of them wanting to do more original material.

Re: [VITA/PS3] Hatsune Miku: Project Diva
Input lag on the PS3 versions can be a huge issue. I was having problems but not with my TV. I found that my sound bar is a little behind. My solution was to plug the audio from my PS3 directly in to...

Re: [VITA/PS3] Hatsune Miku: Project Diva
Yep! The smaller one looks to me like it just has regular sized arcade buttons like the ones used for fighters and shmups. And analog sticks for the scratching. Didn't seem worth it.
Making your...

Re: Sega’s new surprise!
$600? The game is like $70, how much is that arcade stick? :sd:[/QUOTE]
Well. Slightly less than $600. The arcade stick is almost $500 after shipping. The thing weighs 15 pounds. Quite a bit more...

Re: Sega’s new surprise!
I've got Project DIVA F and the HORI Project DIVA F arcade controller on the way. Can't wait! Set me back about $600 for both... heh. But I've put tons of time in to the Vita version. So this is...

Re: [US] Nisemonogatari
Hmm. Multiple degrees worse? I don't know. I did not like it as much as Bake, but the character interactions are still great. The slower pacing was great.. But on the other hand. Not enough happened,...

Re: Winter 2013 check-up
I would say Tamako Market is the weakest series of that bunch anyway. Guess KyoAni should stick to adapting instead of original moe blobs. :sdsmiley:

Re: Winter 2013 check-up
Would love if Chihayafuru, Mondaiji-tachi, and Sasami-san did better! But Mondaiji is in the gutter right now. Pretty much no chance of a season 2 at this point.

Re: Episode 12
I actually liked the ending. I wish they had touched on the romance more, and that they had shown the missing dramatic moment that ended the Tyrant's Eye. But I still left feeling mostly satisfied...
