After doing some more background reading on the suggestions mentioned in this and the linked threads i went with Genki.
It only arrived this morning so i can;t say how good/effective it is in terms...

I enjoyed this one, though it was a little too predictable and nothing in particular stood out.
It sticks so close to the style of the tv series it might as well have just been an extra long episode.
