Re: Mad Bull 34

That woman's neck is unaturally long on the revised artwork.

Re: Digimon Tamers: Season 3 Collection

It looks like they created a new logo loosely based on the Japanese logo (http://i47.tinypic.com/10d78et.jpg). This was the logo (http://i46.tinypic.com/sctdds.png) used when this season originally...

Re: Digimon Xros Wars

I have mixed feelings about this. The show will get far more exposure on Nick than if had ended up on Vortexx or another network. On the downside I can imagine Nick pulling it before the series can...

Re: U.S. Postal Service looking to end next-day mail delivery

Even with the more limited hours I still find it easier to get to the Post Office on a Saturday. I'm hoping this isn't the end of that as well.

Re: Discotek Media licenses Blue Submarine No.6

This is fantastic. I ordered the DVD from Amazon when Bandai's stock was becoming scarce so they weren't able to fulfil my order. I'd much rather have it on Blu-ray so it ended up working out.

Re: Saban Brands acquires Digimon

It sounds like they got the previous seasons as well. I wonder how this affects New Video's upcoming release of season 1. Shout Factory currently distributes Saban's older titles on DVD. I wouldn't...

Re: Digimon Xros Wars

I don't think they can in Canada. Beast Wars and War Planets were called Beasties and Shadow Raiders over there. I have no idea what they do about Star Wars The Clone Wars.

Digimon Xros Wars'...

Re: Haruhi LE vols. 2-4 question

Yes there's a little drawer in the artbox to fit the CDs. It's really unusual design though I think the Lucky Star set was similar.

That's what I did. Maybe I'll toss them out one day when I'm...

Re: Digimon - Digital Monsters: Season 1 Collection

That's 6-7 episodes per disc. That's not too bad. The last release of this series had 13 episodes on a single disc (and was never continued beyond that).

Re: Armitage III: The Complete Saga (Classic Line)

Like the artwork. Dislike the abundance of text.

"Featuring the voices of Keifer Sutherland and Juliette Lewis" but not in the same movie

Re: Discotek Media licenses Galaxy Express 999: Eternal Fantasy

Great news! Maybe I'll celebrate by finally watching Adieu Galaxy Express 999. (I watched the first movie the day I got it, but the second has been in my "to watch" pile ever since )

Re: Are Discotek a major player now?

I should probably clarify that no, I don't think they're a major player but they're doing just fine by me at their current output.

Yes! That's the kind of announcement I was referring to.

Re: FUNimation New Title Solicitations (Jul '12)

That's good news. It isn't a confirmation exactly, but why would they mention both if they didn't plan to release them?

Re: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo boxsets

So does this means S'More will only release exactly what is given to them? They have the Japanese language track and translated scripts but they won't create their own subtitles?

If Galaxy Express...

Re: Are Discotek a major player now?

Their license announcements lately make me more excited than any other company's announcements.

Re: FUNimation New Title Solicitations (Jul '12)

If they're calling it the "Complete Saga" then I'd hope it includes the entire OVA and the Poly-Matrix movie. Not just one or the other.

Re: Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo boxsets

I'm always a little apprehensive about the first release from a new company. I'd be afraid of dubtitles, poorly timed subtitles, spelling and grammar errors, or bad translations. I would not have...

Re: Bleach: Uncut Boxset 12

It shouldn't have happened at all, but I really hope this was a one time deal to keep all the episodes on this set the same aspect ratio. There will be no reason for the next set to be cropped.

Re: Unreleased FUNimation Licenses Update Thread

I'm really glad the Geneon stuff is finally on is way. And that Panty & Stocking will be on Blu-ray. Their Toriko response does make it sound like they already have it, which I don't know if they...

Re: Akira (DVD)

There's a big budget live action adaptation in the works. And with that brings a whole new audience wanting to seek out the original.

Re: Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig - Individual Eleven (Blu-ray)

And for some odd reason Bandai/Manga never used the logo from the season one R2 DVDs. It's completely in English and much nicer looking than any of these other logos.
