I had a big long talk with Erica at AnimeNext back in June, and she rails at the public for just not buying stuff. So that particular gripe is common across all our fanbase, not just the yuri-reading...

The reason ISO 3602 allows a circumflex in place of the macron is (I believe) that the vowel-with-circumflex is present for all English...

Sorry; by "doubled vowel" I meant the happenstance appearance of the same vowel sound twice in succession (e.g. during the conjunction of 2 kanji that comprise the name of the Hiroo district of Tokyo...

But a long vowel is not the same as a doubled vowel. Surely the macron (or, in the case of ISO 3602, the circumflex) is reserved only for long vowels?
