We are considering some titles as I am not sure but I believe we are like one of th last two guys even releasing adult anime left but we are considering some non-adult anime also. Having actually worked at CPM/SS I know a little about how some of these titles performed in the past so there are certain titles that I want but not many. You see, I see no point in re-releasing a title that really did not do much the first time around just cause it is cheap and you can release it in a boxset cheap. There are some that should get re-release for sure...example
Wordsworth has done amazingly well as a re-release for us and so has Golden Boy but something like Iczer not so much...bleah. You really have to be cautious. The re-release of Berserk has been selling like crazy but look at the history of the title and the fact we never lowered the price on it so is it the price or the remaster. We will be testing that theory soon with MKR as it will have a re-release but we will be doing a re-master but that series you can get so cheap now...will some people buy again and pay more for a remaster....there is plenty of opinions in the office on that one.
So re-releasing Geneon titles in boxsets is smart cause they never really did cheap boxsets of any titles while CPM was getting down to 9.99 at some points....all things you have to consider! But re-releasing all Geneon titles that did not do well probably not so smart.
