I went and updated my setup quite a bit this week, as I bought a new set of floor speakers to replace the Monitor Audio Silver RX-1s, and a new integrated amplifier that replaces the power amplifier mentioned above. I wanted a better pre-amp for my music than the one in my receiver, and I also wanted to try something that wasn't ICEpowered. Here's a recap of my stuff then:
Screen:
Pioneer 420XA
Speakers:
DLS R55
Receiver:
Marantz SR4001
Integrated amplifier:
Creek Evolution 2 (works as a power amplifier for the receiver, and gets a signal directly from my Squeezebox and radio tuner)
DAC:
ONTech Standard DAC (some Danish high end thing)
Music player:
Squeezebox Duet using iPeng on the iPod Touch as a remote
Blu-ray/DVD player:
Oppo BDP-83
HD DVD player:
Toshiba HD-EP30
Tuner:
Some Sony thing with a few years on it
Consoles: Wii, PS3, PS Two, Xbox 360
The speakers are amazing and the Creek is one hell of an amp, and the price wasn't all that bad. I got a great deal on the speakers and I partially bought the Creek amp because I felt I'd fucked the store over on the speakers
