Agreed. If this kind of stuff keeps up it is going to change my viewing habits drastically. If anime is either so afraid of some possible pending law infraction or is just doing this because they think some how people will buy (or rent I guess) discs just to see drawn panties or groping behavior (looking squarely at you Horizon) then I guess they are doing what they think is best for their company.
I however don't have to take "best for their company" into account and if need be will simply watch anime or *gasp* engage in some other form of entertainment as having flashes over even moderate things is distracting and pulls me out of the moment.
I don't watch anime for flashes of (painted or digital) cloth or skin (not that I am opposed to them mind you) so if the studios can't air this anymore stick the damn characters in pants- if the story is good it won't suffer much, though writers will have to come up with all new cliches as the "oops, she fell on top of him and his head went up her skirt" type of well worn (and often abused) cliche that can fill some time and prevent them from having to do more thoughtful (well, that is the hope anyway, probably just find more cliche tripping and pulling pants down tropes out of their bag of gags) writing.
